i have a L, R switch.. doesn't seem to be working either way..
do i need an active sim in it? i have a dead sim right now in it
As far as I know, yes. The fun needs to be fully on while using the tool. Gimme a min, lemme try with no sim.
ok now vissie can't read it.. weird weird weird
edit: woops, the com setting in vissie reset on it's own![]()
Hmmm, nope. It works without a sim![]()
My switch is set to R.
Dunno what the problem is![]()
Can you right click on the 'Mobile' icon, go to properties, go to connection and find the com settings there?
vissie reads it
but i only see the following
- adjustments
- telephone books
- logos
- ringtones
- ringtone editor
- appointments
- addressbook
- messages
no dice.. says it's not availableOriginally posted by Johnnyt

i think it might be drivers or my cable?
i'm using the rhy.com.cn drivers
i can modify the com settings in the device manager folder... i set that to 115.2k
Jeez how did you guys manage this when I FRIED my phone?
There were like 5 different sets of instructions contradicting eachother?
My bits per second are 9600... My driver version is 2.0.0.24... My OS is XP Home (It wouldnt work on my XP Pro box) It is set to COM2
I doubt your phone is fried.Originally posted by Bravoxena

If you read the proper instructions and followed who had success with which instructions, you would know how to do it properly![]()
