One of my first cars was a 1978 Firebird 6.6liter that had a speedo that topped out at 130MPH. We would bury the speedo so I'm guessing about 225km/hr

I borrowed a friends CBR 1000 once and took it up to 240km/h but I find the speedo a bit whacked when you get that high. It's never really that accurate.

110mph in a Firebird (young and dumb)
151mph - Mustang GT couple mods, private runway. I won't be doing that again anytime soon. After about 115 car got light around 130 car felt like it was floating and surface imperfections were more than noticeable. At let off point tunnel vision kicked in and the car felt unstable and I needed a change of pants. I think a few suspension modifications and a chin spoiler would of improved the feel it wasn't making enough downforce especially at the front wheels.

Not very fast, 184 (115mph) in a Hyundai. I remember clearly because this was the fastest the car would go and considering the average speed of the island highway is 180 meant I was the slow one

I hired one of those on a trip to Durban back in December, I could barely get it to go past 110km/h, lol!
