Over 1.5hr wait for customer service

I have been waiting over an hour and a half to speak to customer service. This is not good.

Has anyone waited longer than 1.5 hours?

A friend of mine waited on the phone from 8am until just before 10am last week.

All she wanted to do was switch to the $30/month plan!!!

This is not good.. and I am think of getting Fido....

I E-Mail fido asking for a question about their handset.. this day 4 and haven't receive anything from them yet!

But those small problems.... like changing plan and turn on the OverSea roaming... can't they do it in the Fido Stores in the mall????...

1.5 hours.. I could go there and come back! 2X

Do you have to pay airtime (fidomatic) if you phone the CS using your cell?

lol ... i am in the same situation. it would be nice if fido actually emailed you just to confirm that your mail was received like what telus and other more organised businesses do.

on a side note, i emailed picocell wireless (this company in victoria) asking them one of their products and guess what? no reply. seems pretty common for small canadian businesses with websites. digicell.net does the "wise" thing and they don't even list an email address even though you can order online from them.

Well.. if I were you guys... I will send a E-Mail to MicroCell...

    Here is the Link!

    http://www.microcell.com/microcell/n...rt.jsp&lang=en

and their E-mail address are: info.communications@microcell.ca

I already did!! I am not a Fido customer yet.. but hoping to Join... and now with this 2.5 hours wait! I have to reconsider...

I recommand you guys send them E-Mail.... and express your concern.... if there is enough people to complain... they may change...

However, Fido is losing money (Aug 13,01 Press Release) "The Company posted consolidated net losses of $116.7 million"....

I don't think they even have enough money to pay the Phone Bills on the Fido helpdesk lines!

I am kind of puzzle... you guys say you waited 2.5 hours... but the line wasn't busy??? If so many people is waiting on the line....

I think Fido over-expanded. They cannot take care of their customers's needs. For example, if you want to get your phone repair in BC, I think you have to go to the flagship store in downtown Vancouver. Although there are two Fido stores in Greater Vancouver, I think only the one in downtown has an on-site technican. As I said in another postings, it is so stupid that people stand in the lineup and wait for the technican to try repairing the phone (Nokia 8890). If each phone takes 10 minutes for reapir, then that means people often have to wait for 30 mins or so. Like me, my Nokia 8890 was functioning properly and all I need to do was to put my name on the wait list for the screen replacement but I still have to wait and wait. There are other instances that they screw up something in my account and it took me 4 times to call to get it resolved.

ya, i just waited about an hour today for cs. I just wanted to know my account number so i could register for my fido page. This is way worse than rogers (i just switched from them). Rogers wait time is just a few minutes most of the time.

From my experience, the wait time for Telus west is usually a few minutes, no more than 10 mins.

a positive thing to say about fido's customer service:

i've only called them on the phone once to find my account number so i can access the myfido page. this was in june when i first activated my account. i didn't wait longer than five minutes. i just asked for my account number and the dude said "so you can access the myfido page?" and then gave me the info.

    Cool

I called seven time to Fido and i never waited more than 5-15 minutes, exept today where i waited 25 minutes. But its normal with their new promotions and the back to school effect...

Yeah you guys never try call Cityfone eh?

    worst CS you can get.........

They all needed to be retrain or sth........

Best CSR I dealt with is CLEARNET......but then it's gone

Telus's CS is not bad.....but their plans sucks big time!

    Thumbs down

I called Fido when I lost my phone and I was on hold for 80 minutes. When the guy answered, he proceeded to check something then cut me off.

I got mad and sent an e-mail to fido. It took 8 days for them to reply to me.

I then called Fido again and waited 35 minutes.

I was then told to go to the Kiosk near me and they solved my problem in 2 minutes.

Moral of the Story is: If you have a FIDO Kiosk nearby, go there first as they have a direct line to customer service.
