Does anyone know where I can get a Dual SIM Card holder for a GD87. Has anyone tried this, and does it work ?
I want to put an Orange SIM and a Vodafone SIM into my phone.
Has anyone used one of these before in their GD87 ?
I use a ghost SIM designed for the Nokia 3310, just need to fold the cable. It works fine and I bought it from eBay for around £7.
Excellent, thanks for that info. I have seen some on eBay for the GD87, but the price is too high. (Start bidding at £17.48 or Buy it now for £27.48 !!)
£7 is a lot more acceptable. When you say you have to fold the cable, does it still all fit in OK ?
Cheers.
Are you able to provide a link to the Dual SIM holder that you use? Is it the one where you need to trim your SIM cards to fit ? (I don't like the idea of doing that !)
Thanks.
Yeah it all fits in fine, the ribbon just needs to folded once and the battery slots in on top of it. There is a slight gap but its under 1mm and I don't notice it at all. Mine was designed for the 3310 and is for sale on eBay here.
wut good is a dual sim anyways?

It enables you to put two SIM cards into your phone, and easily switch between them, whithout taking the battery out every time.
Looks something like this ...

ah ic.. so with a push of a button the sim cards switch?? whoa.. thatz weird... is this the only fone with that feature?
is it only one sim or the other? How do you switch between?
Aftermarket companies make them for nearly all phones, they're really popular in Asia and to an extent the UK. Only one SIM works a time, turn the fone off and back on again to switch.
whoa.. pretty cool... cept u'd have to pay double the amount for monthly cell phone bills =/
Not at all. You could have one SIM card for Business (during the day), and one for private use. Or you coudl like me have one SIM card on a monthly contract, but another pay as you go card on a different network, in case you can't get a signal on the first. There are various senarios for this, and you don't necesarily pay double the amount for monthly cell phone bills.Originally posted by tw_1_n_star

yea thatz true... maybe in evenings and weekends u get time free for one sim card and the other one can be set up on pay as u go for use during day or something?... still lol... dunt see how ppl really actually would need it... cuz u can't have 2 lines at same time so if u're like trying to do business u can't put the other guy on hold =p
