    Gu87 and AIM?

    I got a GU87 and i got internet. My carrier is Cinncinati Bell (AT&T Wireless)... well does ne one no if i can get aim on it.. or is there a direct website to goto to be able to get it? thxs

    Nope. You need a smartphone, probably a series 60, to run AIM. The series 60 forum has info on these, what there is etc. Panasonic will bring out a series 60 this autumn, but don't have one yet.

    Hmm.... I can use AIM on my GU87. I use it with AT&T mMode. You say you have internet, so I assume it's the same. Just select Mail and Messenging when you go online with mMode.

    Is that built in as an app on the phone, or is there something turning AIM into WML?

    nvm, i called em, they said that they just split up with AT&T or sumthing, so they are still advancing their technology n stuff. so it will be a whille b4 they add aim to it. i hate cincinnati bell their coverage area sucks, but i get 2000 minutes for 30$ so i not complaining.. lol. i can still use yahoo so o well. thxs for your help ne ways

    I thought i was pretty clear. I use AIM thru my WAP browser. AT&t offers internet thru their own browser. They call it mMode. You sign up for it, then connect. There is a home page, once connected. In the menu, there is an option, "Mail and Messeging". Select that, and in there, you should see info on how to connect to AIM or email.

    Pretty straight forward. Guess it depends on the provider though.
