Has anyone heard anything on what new phones will be coming out for the Telus Mobility network? And I don't mean the Samsung MP3 player, either.

The Sanyo SCP-5000 will be available through Telus Mobility very soon.
The Sanyo SCP-6000 will also be coming out with the 5000 as well.
Any chance some other makes (besides Sanyo) will be introduced from Telus?
I'm pretty sure only those two will be coming out. I don't know any other models Telus will introduce to the market. Bell will be coming out with the Motorola V60c.
The Sanyo 6000 looks great. That'll probably be my next phone. Too bad it's only single band. I'd give up the 3 or so ounces for at least dual mode.
the nokia 3280/3285 are possibilities ..Originally posted by Bonka

as well as other motorola CDMA phones [the v120, etc.]
Great. I've seen the 3285 at the Nokia website. Looks pretty slick.
I know that there were quality issues with the original Nokia 6188 phone that Clearnet tried to use which many people suspected was due to the fact that Nokia didn't license CDMA from Qualcomm but developed their own CDMA chipset.
I've read recently that Nokia has licenced CDMA from Qualcomm, but I don't recall if it was for their network equipment or handsets. So, depending on what Nokia has done with their CDMA phones, I would suspect that any CDMA carrier would hesitate using them.
Regards,
Kevin.
Coming in the fall.

A palm/phone hybrid. A large phone for someone who would not normally carry a palm pilot but if you are like many people who have their palm pilot in one pocket, cell phone in another and the wallet floating around somewhere else this will be a nice phone to have. Not completely up to the standards of the current high tech palm units but most palm owners are happy with the basic features anyway.
Motorola v60c should be available by Christmas. I've finally bumped into some TM techs that are carrying the phone =).Originally posted by kmccall

Yeah, that's very nice. But Bell will be carrying the same V60c. Telus will be coming out with the Sanyo SCP-5000 & 6000. Those will be coming out soon.
Rage2, are you sure Telus will be coming out with the Motorola V60c in Christmas? Maybe you are mistaken with Bell.
Telus should consider replacing the outdated Nokia 6185. I've heard that the 3285 would be just that, however, its nothing more than a 6185 with a new skin and some new features. I'd like to see some of the other CDMA phones similiar to what US CDMA providers offer.
