    Does nextel Give long term customers discounts?

    I know that verizon gives discounts on phone upgrades if the customer has been with them 2years or more, my sister got a new phone free all she had to do was pay for tax, Does nextel do that? And if so does it have to be 2 years with the same rate plan or is it ok if you changed your plan a couple times.?

    The only discount I get is 15% off my total bill because I'm a government employee. I've had nextell since 2000

    Ive had nextel since 98 rocking an i1000 regular and they dont give me a discount..

    If you call and say you want to cancel, supposedly they'll offer incentives to stay. I've never done it, but it's discussed regularly in this forum.

    yea, it sux, they should do it like how verizon does it once your with them for 2 years and your phone is getting old they allow you to get a newer phone with 100 dollars off so if the phone is a hundred bux you only pay tax and you get it.

    Actually It isn't. It causes the clean up crew. Nextel has to make room in their budget for loyal customers. Not for whiny bastids who want something for nothing. T-Mo does it, Verizon does it, Sprint does it. Why does anyone bother staying with nextel? My contract expired, I can leave tommorow. Why should I stay? Why? Exactly the Reason Nextel has so many short lived stays. Yes there are MANY loyal customers, but when you're walkin around with an i1000 for 2 yrs and you see the new i830 and have to pay out of pocket for it, it does something to you. WTF NEXTEL...WTF!!??

    Been with them for two years. I've got 600 extra bonus minutes, free premium web, and 10% off on my bill. That's because I was going to cancel to go to Verizon earlier this year, but they threw all this free stuff on me, so I guess I'm staying.

    I dont get why people feel they DESERVE free stuff just because they have been a customer for a long time. Does the cable company or electric company give discounts cause you've paid your bill ontime for years? No, and neither should cell phone companies. If Nextel gave everyone who had a plan for a while free stuff, they'd make a lot less profit and any stock holder would not like that.

    No, we shouldn't get free stuff, but give us something to stay competitive. Try and keep cellphone prices lower. You can't tellme that the actual retail price of the i730 is really 400 dollars. Thats why boost is selling it for LESS, right, no. Prepaid never sells the phones for less, look at FreeUP or T-mobile, Prepaid phones always cost more.

    I eat at my local pizzeria mutliple times a week. The guy there gives me a free 2 liter with purchase of a pie. Its not getting something for nothing, because I am in fact paying for the pizza.
