I've heard that you get access to pop3 and aim with the $4.99 plan, but I don't know for sure since I haven't tried myself.

I gotta question to ask. Without paying the monthly fee for t-zones, is it possible to get charged for going over a certain amount of mb? To be honest, i don't even know how a mb relates to the internet on a cell phone, but im assuming its the amount of data transfered. I heard you can get charged if you go over a certain limit but im just askin to be sure. thanks

if its "free" there should be no charge whatsoever. The free part is something that im still trying to figure out and its driving me nuts. If it weren't free then yes you would probably be charged for every kb dl'ed as bandwidth of any kind costs monay. This would also mean that I am screwed. But from what I've been reading with the free/free is over posts is that it is most likely still free and you can dl all you want(within your minutes(?)) I hope it stays this way forever but I wouldnt mind shelling out an exta $5 a month for unlimited wap access.

    Thumbs down wap not free

I made the mistake of cancelling $2.99 t-zones on my 2nd tmobile line. Then, speaking to the CSR, I was told that free WAP "ended around June 30." I still get free wap on one of my lines, but I guess it's just not free anymore?

I don't get what FREE WAP. I have T-Zones for $2.99 more and 1MB included.

So what is the 1MB? Is it traffic that I use when I'm connected to the WAP/GPRS? Or is it 1MB to access T-zones wap pages? What do you mean about FREE? You surf the web with WAP for no COST at all? Download wallpaper, themes, ringtones from other wap website at no cost? Please be more specific.

Just to forwarn all of you... I am clueless when it comes to all of this internet/cell phone stuff.

BUT I having been trying for the past week to figure stuff out. I just read on here that it said WAP was free and the using t-zones was not. Well I had no idea how to use only wap or how to use t-zones. So I was going to call the t-mobile customer service to find out. I decided to drill them with a bunch of my other questions. In doing that, I asked if it was free and what the difference was. She told me that t-zones and wap are basically the same thing. She said that when you pay the 5.99 you get unlimited access to things like hotmail.... aim... etc... She then went on to say that the only thing that comes "included" is that you can access downloads for pictures and ringtones. She then said that in order to download it would cost anywhere from .99 to 1.99 per download.

I don't exactly what to make of all of that, but just in case somebody does... that is what they told me.

Wap is Free - web site needed to replace T Zones

I wish someone would just put all of the links on one page.

I put together a site with some of the t zones links, admittedly skipping those that I don't like or that don't apply in the U.S.
If there's a site you really want added, let me know.

alright, I read all 8 pages of that mess, but I'm still confused.

It's July 22nd... I've been using my motorola V80 as a modem for my IPAQ via bluetooth. It finds my phone, dials *99# and I'm on the web via GPRS.

I am on the grandfathered $2.99 plan.

What am I getting charged for?
