    FULL Format on P900

In the Flip Closed mode, turn the Jog Dial one notch:

    UP
    Press *
    DOWN
    DOWN
    Press *
    DOWN
    Press *

(The * symbol is the one on the botton left on your keypad)

This will take you to the hidden service menu, choose option number 3; Service functions to start the format. The process should only take a few seconds.

This will completely clear everything out of the phone just like the day it was new. Gets rid of all the folders left behind by a master reset.

Will the phone still work after that? Do I simply reload the firmware from the SE site.

    Thanks,

That scroll dial on the left side next to the earpiece. Up one = 1 click up and vice versa.

I have some questions about unbranding (free, I'm poor).
    1) is the file made available on a certain yahoo group safe to use
    2) does the IMEI have to be changed to unbrand my phone
    3) should I update my branded firmware before attempting unbranding (the branded firmware (CDA162004/11) is an older version than say for CDA162003/2)
    4) if I unbrand my phone (currently CDA162004/11 R1D01) will I be blocked by SE from updating my firmware?

I was also wondering, could I format the drive to remove the branding problems? I don't really care about startup logos and sounds etc, but having my WAP effectively disabled is downright criminal.

    P900 doesn't boot up

Is there a way to re-install OS on P900. It gets stuck on the white Sony Ericsson screen when you turn it on after the boot up audio sound. It might need a new HD or something?
