    Setting ringtones

    i8reds

    Hi
You need to go into settings, ring styles, whatever comes on the screen at the beginning of this menu STYLE loud, then below that LOUD detail, then press select or change, in that menu, there will be the sound volume of the phone and then also calls, this can be whatever ringtone you like, but this is the way to access the handsets features, and third item down in the menu, is the text messages option, press change and then scroll to the desired tune, you said you wanted, youve got mail and voila try it out ?

    Hope this helps

    v3 Razr cover change

I could not find anything here on how to change the case/cover on a v3. I have a silver one that works and a black one that took a swim and now the battery won't last more than 6 hours, so I was thinking of changing the covers from one to the other, but could not find any information on how to do that. I found a couple of T6 screws, and some even smaller.

Just below the battery are 2 T6 screws, which I took out but still could not get even that piece off. Any help will be appreciated.

Wrong Thread, make a new thread :-p

What youll need is Mobile Phone Tools from Motorola, (to ge the drivers) with Mot it will allow you to transfer files. But if your like me and have problems with Mpt, after you install Mpt do a search for p2ktools, that program wil lalso allow you to transferfiles.

    Good luck~

sorry, my im not on a computer with Outlook on it so im unable to Email you.

But To the best of My knowledge you are UNABLE to change the skin via bluetooth. Since in orde to change you skinn you need to go through the phones directory and change multiple files. Some you cannot do through bluetooth.

Try buying a datacable, and Mpt (mobile phone tools) for about $50 for both, or you could look on ebay (where i bought mine).

    Good Luck (keep posting!)
(im still practicly a newbie, so can anyone verify what i wrote?, thanks)

transfering voice records from my V551

Is there a way to transfer Voice recordings from my V551 to my computer. I have Mobile Phone Tools and a cable and all.

What I want to do is make a ringtone out of one of my Voice recordings and i think i would be able to do that if i could just get it to my computer

if there is another way to change voice recordings on my v551 into ringtones, than that would be just as good . . . obviously

Can any one help me out or has anyone heard of anything like this?

i would do it likes this: (its not a high quality but if your desperate it will work)

    1. Get a microphone for your computer
    2. PLug it into the computer
    3. Use voice recorder
    4. Put your phone to the microphone (a microphone is a small phone?)
    5. And record
    6. Convert to .mp3 or .wav so your phone can play it :-D

    good luck :-D
