Oh man, if I had the LG I'd be upset if the TELUS logo so much as got a scratch on it, let alone have it come off alltogether. hehee
I remember when I had a 6185 with the TELUS Mobility sticker on it. I bought a new faceplate that came with a "Digital" sticker on it, but I couldn't stand it, so I switched the stickers around so that I could have the TELUS Mobility sticker on my new faceplate on the phone (:

If you scratch it off you will be disappointed that the phone will look damaged because underneath is a different colour.

If you do any cosmetic modifications to your phone it will void your waranty. So what ever permenant modifications you make you will have to live with for the rest of your cell phones life...![]()

What are you talking about? I am trying figure out how to get the black lettering that says "Telus" (as well as the logo) off my phone.
Cosmetic modifications are things like different antennas, non-manufacturer faceplates, etc, etc...
What cosmetic mods are you referring to?
The trick is to find a chemical that will take the paint off without hurting the surface underneath - not easily done. Alcohol may soften it a bit but I doubt it'll wipe it off. I have had success scratching the "Fido" logo off a faceplate before with absolutely no marks left on the paint underdeath. Unless my cell provider pays me to advertise I don't want to see there name on my phone. I like all of my phones to have the original branding from the company that made it(in my case that means Motorola)
Nitro fuel from RC cars works great as well but it may melt the surface so use at your own risk.
After 18 years with only Motorola devices I now have an iPhone. Someone at Motorola dropped the ball...
I have been trying in many ways, including nail polish remover and vinigar, hummm...let's try drain-o on the dummy unit.

I do not understand why covering it up with some sticker that you prefer, is not a better alternative?!
Forget about scratching it off! Cosmetic mod does include the removal / attempt to remove the Telus logo, believe it or not.
Just that, if you have a problem with your phone under 30 days (DOA) you get a new handset, but they will not do this if the TELUS logo is permently off the phone.Originally posted by SwatZeR

If it over that period you still would get another handset, and thew service center would not take back a phone with out the logo.
I doubt it.
I would place a sticker over it, or if you scratch it off don't expect to get it swaped if you ever have any trouble with the model.
Cheers,

d00d, I work at a dealership and our repair/warranty department would take a D.O.A. phone back that is missing the "Telus" logo! Thats not going to void my warranty! I just say that it scratched off from normal wear. They can't refuse to D.O.A. my phone within 30 days because of that.
If I was adamant about getting rid of that logo, I would have had it off by now, but I am concerned about taking some of the silver paint off, so I am going to leave it as is.
But if I were able to get that bloody logo off and for some reason if the phone stopped working within 30 days, the phone would be treated just like any other D.O.A. and I would be getting a brand spanking new one.
I understand what you are trying to say, but if a logo rubs off its not voiding any warranty.
just put a sticker photo of your girlfriend on it![]()

I handle all of my store's service issues...... and I WOULD NOT take that phone back. Removed the logo? Off to FutureTel it goes for repair, DOA policy or not.Originally posted by SwatZeR

I really don't see the BIG DEAL of the comestic deflect will affect the warranty of any cell phone or accessories, as long as the product is not physical or liquid damaged, it's all covered by warranty.
