snoopy i would remove version 1.0 of my prog the header in version 1.1 is far superior its exactly what the phone would write itself if it loaded a ringtone into the download_snd.txt i removed it from my server

Concerning the banner remover I am sure it is okay. one of the other threads have it. I will look for it and if it is around I will host it with the warning that it is ONLY for the Verizon version.

As to Bitpim 7 build or test 8 it is on the sourceforge website. Actually EVERY version is there.

Sorry...I'm a little new at this. I haven't messed with the "download_snd.txt" file before. Could someone please posts some sort of tutorial on how to use the "CID's Ringtone Tool"?? I searched the forum and can't seem to find anything about it. Plus, I'm sure it would help out more people than just me.

hey guys.. i forgot to make a post about this a while ago, but i've been working on a RingTone/Camera Pic/Wall Paper/Animation tool for the 8900 (specifically Verizon Wireless) that connects to the phone automatically and writes everything. basically it will work with any cable and you will no longer need bitpim to do any manual work. i'm about 60% done. as for the phone book, im just going to have it backup/restore the entire thing because i'm not sure how to parse/edit the phone book yet. otherwise, i have all the of the above mentioned working.

you might wanna pm cid420420, he's pretty good with the 8900 and writing programs. maybe you two can get it done twice as fast.
