Is the GPRS network down for Rogers?

    Hey there,

So all today I haven't been able use the internet on my BB or I can sometimes but it's soooooooo slow that it's pointless.

I'm just wondering if it's something to do with Rogers (like anyone else having problems) or if possibly there is something weird going on with my BB...
Earlier today out of nowhere my BB's GPRS went non-capital with a little triangle infront of it. Treatz was saying that means it was roaming... I don't understand why/how it could be roaming though.

Anyhow, a simple restart fixed that oddity, but GPRS is still not working. Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Just a couple of questions:

    Do you have GPRS?
    Where do you live?
    Can you send/receive email?
Have you tried a hard reset then maunally registering to the network (Options--Network--Register Now)

I don't see any Rogers outages for today with their GPRS network.

    Hi,

Rogers has had problems with the web browsing with the BB's for a few weeks now. I reported it 2 times to them. Each time they mentioned to me that they were having problems but wouldn't give me the specifics. They went through a bunch of diagnostic steps with me and could see that I was trying to connect to the web. They wouldn't tell me what they did but they created a report file on the system and they have been calling me every few days asking if the browser if better. It has no problems for the last 3 days. But previously, I was getting "No Data Connection" on my main page. I would reset the BB and after 30 minutes I would get a connection again but would lose it the next day. I was having to reset my BB everyday for about 2 weeks. I also had the gprs in lower case as well as GSM on the top right of the screen.

Sometime around a week ago, I had some really slow web surfing (to the point of uselessness), but my email was still working well.

Everything seems to be fine in the last while now.
    Thanks,

Here I thought it was just me, I gave up trying to surf on my BB a couple weeks back as well as it was just to slow to do anything. Rogers did confirm a server issue on there end pertaining to the problem...
