xoclipse - your tool rocks! Great idea. Make money with this - but dont sell to hofo members

Others - After removing the provider text, how to remove (or) left align the date stamp? It looks so odd to see it orphaned on the screen - besides, it screws the wallpaper looks.

    Thanks

    Mahesh

Hey everyone, I've kind of ceased development on the motorola tool, as I'm pretty busy with school(junior year is the toughest ). I started at the end of the summer working on a new application, that would allow you to download/upload seems right in my new program. I figured this out partially. I got as far as: connecting to the phone, and downloading seems. I didn't add uploading unfortuantely, but it's still very useful to download seems.

I made a nice little C++ class that lets you open a phone connnection and download seems with ease. Hopefully this will expand developement for the motorola vxxx phones. Included in the source code is the class to connect to the phone, and an example porgram that demonstrates a connection to the phone and downloads a seem.

Please make sure you have the Windows Platform SDK installed, as it has the stuff necessary for the USB programming stuff the class makes use of.

If you have any questions or need help with the class, feel free to contact me.

i guess no one here has read here that he has ceased development.

I use V300, and there is an alignment option in the following menu:

Menu >> Settings >> Personalize >> Home Screen >> Layout >> [Left Justified] or [Centered]

Check if you have it in yours.

Inside Screen Text Center and Data Settings for Cingular

    1) I somehow lost the option to center the text in my inside screen and I cannot figure out how to change it with the hex editor. I tried editing 004a @ offset 170 (which I assume is 00aa converted to hex) because I saw it in one of the threads, but this did not work.

Also I can't figure out how to restore the data settings for Cingular. Please excuse my ignorance. I have tried though, I've been reading threads for 12 hours. I should have GPRS, etc through Cingular. I did try to use the info from the threads:

Using GPRS (aka Wireless Internet Express)
    Function Setting
Settings Name: Cingular Wireless Internet Express
    Home Page: http://device:home or http://device.home
    Session Mode: Permanent
    Connection Security: On
    APN: wap.cingular (lower case)
    PDP_Type: IP
    Gateway IP Address: 66.209.11.61
    Authentication Type: Secure
    Login Type: Automatic
    User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
    (All upper case)
    Password: CINGULAR1
    (All upper case)

However I don't have these options..

    I only see..:

    Name:
    Homepage:
    Service Type I:
    Gateway IP:
    Port 1:
    CSD..
    etc..

and then at the bottom of the list, there are 2 entries that seem to be fore GPRS but they are only

    GPRS APN:

    and

    Username
    Password.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

Time for a nOOb question. does this program work on an unflexed v300 or does my v300 have to be flexed?

I'm just a little bit confused, after you edit all the seems or whatever it is with the Motorola-Tool program, how do you get it onto your phone?
