Anyone know how to get the clear housing case for the regular i90?

Hello. Does anyone know where I can get the clear housing case for my regular i90? I heard that you can make your regular (blue) i90 have the look of the clear/transluscent i90 with the internal blue lights and everything. Any ideas?

Yeah, there was a kit on eBay a while back so check there. (or search the net)

You can even change the LED's in the phone to any color you want.

The company that does it is based in Florida and it costs about $150 bones...

NOT worth it in my opinion.

Cant we just order the clear housings from Motorola??? Just find me a part number and i'll let you know how much it costs. Thats all that company is doing. If you wanted to pay $175 for the MOD kit then ya should sell ur i90 on ebay and just buy the CLEAR i90....

That site is soldout of the kit. I am one of the lucky people who has an extra clear original motorola translucent/blue case for sale. I will put in ebay for auction soon.

200 for just the case?? does that include the flip and the antenna, and the fcc lable, front & back housing's of the phone and back battery door?

If so I do know of another way to get the colorized case buts its tricky and might not work. I do it all the time, well i used to. Take the i90c clear and put the i90c blue housing on it. Then send it to Motorola and when they send the phone back to you repaired it should have a new Clear housing on it. Repeat these steps if desired. Ive done this plenty of times with the i1000+ RF & the i1000+ by putting the i1000+ housing on the i1000RF phone but getting the i1000+RF back all brand new.

It works just hussel your friends phone from them for a few weeks normly take 3 weeks. Also, if they do send you a i90c blue back then just call motorola up and get a case number. They'll replace the phone with the model that you sent in. So, you'll end up either way with a new case. Take that case off and put your friends case back on and there ya go. Take it to a service Center and Swap your FAKE colored phone out with another Clear i90c.

This case was hard to get a hold of, and probally I won't be able get another one. I want more than $200 for the case only, it comes with everything except, antenna, and holster. If I get enough for it, I may include a door. It even includes the LCD, that's why it is expensive and because it is a limited edition case.

Try to send your phone to Motorola and see if they will give you new cases, I highly doubt it. They match IMEI and serial #'s, so they will know exactly what kind of phone (model & color) it is, they won't be tricked. I already sent my phone in last week and got it back. It won't work that way.
