woohooooo... my 3650 Built-in browser and NetFront still be able to access some sites on my expired easyspeak t-mo SIM(minutes expired in early July):
    CNN:
    http://mobile.cnn.com/wml.ne/en/us/i...DQHv#headlines

However, I can't go to that link with my regular t-mo SIM with either one. But NetFront is able to view ABCNews' site.

Bah... then why have "INCLUDED WAP ACCESS" on my T-MO services. Sorry, but it doesn't make sense to say it's a glitch and then advertise it.

WAP still works in Houston. What I did was selected a different WAP profile (blank); but still used the same GPRS settings and I can get sites to pull up again instead of the T-ZONES signup page prior to this "hack"

The only people that switched were people that 'heard' of free WAP from sites like HowardForums.
I was promised free WAP access by a T-Mobile Customer Service Specialist.. that's why I switched from AT&T. Here's what T-Mobile promised in an email:

Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile.

We now offer Unlimited Free Web browsing that will allow you to use the WAP browser on your handset to view web pages, including our download page. WAP Access Free-for-All allows our customers to download ring tones, games, and other multimedia content without paying a monthly fee. Please be aware that this feature does not include free text messaging, or the ability to send FREE MMS (Multi Media) messages and you will still have to pay to download content from the MyTMobile website, such as ring tones and wallpapers.

I get t-zones for free because I have a pre-paid service, however, an extra $5 a month is really nothing compared to some other service providers who can charge hourly fees.

I use it right now. I went to a local phone shop who sell T-mobile Phones, I bought the v300, which costed $200, plus a $50 activation fee because it needed to be activated, then booom, i get t-zones, the t-mobile internet for free. However I cannot buy anyhting off of t-zones because it says my phone is not supported, but who cares, i have free Wap, and I dont need to buy anything off of T-mobile except for their phones and service.

Please keep in mind i do use T-mobile Easy Speak, but I use it with a v300, which is not one of the phones you buy in the kits.

Also if anyone has had their t-zones cut off while using the pre-paid easy speak service this is bull s hit, because the t-mobile website says that you get the t-zones with your prepaid account.

Now the other issue is people not being allowed to buy the t-zones products, or get some of the free t-zones that t-mobile offers. I spoke with many t-mobile customer reps, and I even got as high as to speak with a manager of t-mobile, and he had siad that with the Easy Speak prepaid plan, ALL PHONES ARE COMPATIBLE, however, the phones that were not in the kits, ie. all the good ones, v300, v600 etc.. you cannot purchase any T-mobile T-zones products, like games, wallpaper, rigntones etc.. because they had no way of charging your account because it has to do with the programming of the phones, and t-mobile cant charge for the dowloads nor can you access them.

Now, I also ask some of you who are getting the "this plan doesnt support this feature" thing that I get when trying to access the T-mobile stuff, why would you ever pay for any of the T-mobile games, or ringtones, or wallpaper, when you can find anything on HoFo or anywhere on the web to get this stuff for free???

I am not finished yet, lol

T-mobile IS THE NUMBER ONE PRE-PAID SERVICE OUT THERE. Because of the free wap, and because once youve used enough mintues on your phone, you are a "Gold Rewards Member" which means if you buy a $50 dollar card, you get 375 minutes, which is very cheap, not going to do the math right now.

Free wap got me hocked, however if people are saying that there t-zones have been taken away then I want some actual visual proof, because I just spent over $300 total, with the cards and everything, to get my v300 with t-mobile service because wap was free.

I used to be a virgin mobile coustomer, and was pleased with the "free wap access" which was more of a hack. However once it was taken away I felt I needed to switch providers, and buy a new phone, because my 8500 blew at that point.

I still have not found a pre-paid service that offers free wap access. That is why I feel so strongly on T-Mobile, and why I feel that T-Mobile is the number on Pre-paid service out there.

Hey I agree Easyspeak is the best prepaid out there.. but what people have been referring to is that outside wap sites are now blocked from handsets.. some people report that some ports are still open allowing third party browsers through. WAP T-Zones is still free. Thats right. But access outside wap sites from your handset.. like howard forums.. has been blocked.

OK... I tried again - using the phone, going to WAP sites doesn't work. Using laptop still works.

WAP wasn't working for me last night and then suddenly when I tried it again today, it had no problems. I even dled some ringtones from www.polyphonicringtonez.com/wap.

and I doubt t-mobile would go thru this forum just to see who still has it up and disable it. For Christ sake, they don't even know who we are. How many customers do they have? exactly. They don't got time to waste on trying to take away WAP for people

And to everyone who keeps whining about this, please! The problem with people is that we always want more free stuff. Nothing is really free in life! Just give it a rest!

Switching to Cingular/ATTWS in a few months....
But you can still use other devices to access sites. Carry an Ipaq or something like that, works like a charm.

IMO, those tiny WAP pages kinda suck anyway so no big loss for me. As long as I get free net via the phone for my laptop and Ipaq I'm sticking with TMo, othewise... it's ATT for me.
