Maybe they should put that on their site more clearly. On the prepaid service website, it says it:

What features are available with EasySpeak service?

    Service includes:

Nationwide long distance (including Alaska & Hawaii)

Nationwide roaming on the T-Mobile USA network

Text messaging ($0.10 to send / FREE to receive)

    ...

t-zones (My Account, MegaTones®, games, ESPN, CNN, and more)

VoiceMail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling
Now a new customer will naturally look up what the heck t-zones is:

t-zones gives you unlimited access to the Mobile Web and your e-mail! Get the latest news, sports, and weather from leading providers like CNN and ESPN, and play the latest on-line games...
Now where on that website does it say that EasySpeak subscribers will get a water down half @$$ed "Mobile Web access"? All I see is all the great features t-zones has, including "unlimited access to the Mobile Web and your e-mail". If anything it's deceiving, a bait and switch if you will. I see EasySpeak has t-zones and t-zones has unlimited access to the Mobile Web and your e-mail. Now your telling me I don't have what your own website says? Maybe there should be a disclaimer on the Prepaid website that says "You will not get all the features as monthly paying T-Zone subscribers".

The sad thing about this whole thing is that I am a paying subscriber to T-Mobile (in one form or another). In fact, they make more money off every minute I spend than the "monthly subscribers". Why shouldn't I get the same things they get, especially if it's advertised with no form of disclaimer?

I know alot of you prepay customers out there are getting pretty pissed off about no more free wap and leaving easyspeak. Just to let you guys know t-mobile is going to be vastly improving prepay in the next couple of months. Look for MMS ability, some type of pay per use wap service, and better rates in the near future. Easyspeak will also be renamed T-mobile To Go. I'm not entirely sure on all the details yet but I know it will be alot better, espically since upper managment really wants to focus on prepay becoming a good source for revune.

You do have free wap access. You nkow that screen that comes up and tell you, that you need to subscribe to a service to go to outside webpages.

GUES WHAT THAT IS WAP. WAP is a protocol like HTTP. GPRS is the service that it travels on.

All I can say is yay for my 20 a month service that is wide open with no ports blocked. I can easily browse all the sites I want irc, aim, msn, and yahoo if I want all cause I pay for the service.

I have never seen an advertisement that you freeloaders claim you have seen that made you sign up for some form of service from T-Mobile.

All the crybabys and people threatening to call CS and yell at them if there service goes down now that you pay for it and blah blah blah blah blah just STFU.

I swear if you need to check your email that bad, browse wap pages or normal webpages, chat to your little hommies and brothers out there and give them shoutouts then pay for it.

I am so tired of everyone always crying and whining for something if they can not get it for free. GET YOUR CHEAP ××× a real paying job or redo your budget so you can afford what you want. If you are under 18 and can not get postpaid make a deal with the rents so they might get it for you. If you are over 18 and have screwed your credit up then you dont need all these services till you get your credit fixed. If you dont have no credit cause you just turned 18 then pay the deposit or get the service under a family member that is willing to go out on a limb for you.

I swear you think most people on this forum are uneducated bums who just want something for nothing cause they can get away with it. If the so called free wap is the only thing that kept you with tmobile please for gods sake dont let the door hit your backside on your way out!!!!!
Note to self: Why don't you ever listen to me?

As mad as I am, I think what you say makes sense. I'm going to purchase one $25 (that has a promo expiration date of a year) just to even see what new changes are going to take place. If it isn't worth staying for, I'll just use up all the minutes and switch to Cincinnati Bell by X-Mas (assuming any new changes will have taken place before X-Mas).

I guess "Included WAP Access Free" just means you can access T-mo's WAP site. Outside WAP dead here also, Birmingham AL.

What about the people who just signed their contracts because the free wap was what swayed them to T-Mobile? What if they their other option was a cheaper and better service but no wap? What then? They are screwed and now very dissappointed with T-Mobile

It was never advertised as a free service, I never seen a commercial, flyer, or heard a radio ad that says you get free internet service to where you can browse till your heart is content and email away. Never once have I seen or heard any such advertisement.

Called Tmo a few times and even asked and they even said there is no such thing.

It was a loophole and nothing more.

Read your contract in the TOS did it say you have free internet service???

Also has it ever occured to you that this so called free wap was a fluke since they offered unlimited tzones for 4.99 a month and before that it was 2.99 a month for one meg and then 9.99 a month for unlimted plus the unlimied GPRS for 19.99 a month. Why would they just have a free wap in there that gave you the same working connection that they were at one time trying to sell for 2.99/9.99 a month and now for 4.99 a month.

The above would take some common sense something that alot of the users on this board lack it seems and just rational thinking. But maybe this is only clear in my head since I do bother to read the TOS on Tmobiles website along with there prixing plans and not just go on what I see on a message board that is not supported or endorsed by T-Mobile in anyway, shape, or form.

yea, I'm kinda mad too, the reason i got T-mo prepaid was for the free WAP, now it's useless to me. I'm 14, and can't sign a contract and am on my familys AT&T plan, and can't cough up $25 for their unlimited mMode. I'm complaining to T-Mo. Anyone else.

I could care less if it is supposed to be free or not.. I'm just saying T-Mobile just pissed off a bunch of it's customers and many of them can't afford to switch providers because of termination fees. And if you have been following these forums, there have been a number of people who have called about free wap internet and have been reassured about what they are getting. Don't you think they have a right to complain? And no matter what your stance is on this.. i think most people will agree that this sucks. Some people are just better at moving on than others

Godda*n it, seriously stop whining about not getting wap anymore. I find using a laptop to go online is a lot more convenient than trying to access WAP. I've seen 13-year-olds more mature than some of you.

    NOTHING is ever FREE.

And on that note, I don't have the free wap thingy in my services page but I can still access WAP sites.
