that's just how it is, it can't be used closed.

hopefully a future firmware update will give the option to keep the speakerphone on with the flip closed...but that's dreaming I'm sure...

Isn't the mic on the keypad? If it were closed, your voice would be muffled.

If this is really an issue, get a bt speakerphone.

i would imagine that you should be able to use the speakerphone with the phone closed... you can on the v600 (and i believe on the v300 as well)

On SP, I was using GIN, closed the phone, the front display said "Call In Session" ...I opened it up and GIN was still running... I wonder if it is possible...

There has been many people that have stated that you can use the Speakerphone that is built in the phone while the phone is closed.

is it like the v60 where if you dial and while it says "dialing..." you can close it and it will still be connected?

Can you use the speakerphone when closed if you:
    1) turn on speakerphone mode

    2) Plug in a hands-free handset (not bluetooth)

    3) Make a call

    4) Close the phone

    5) Pull out the headset

THats how i use the speakerphone closed on my vox 8900 and my friend also does this for her slider.

Moto or VZW, whoever it is wants you to realize that you can't take full addantage unless you purchase another BT device; ie. BT Speakerphone. just another ploy to make people spend tons more money
