MIKE is the Telus portion of the organization which provides the PTT feature. I went with the MIKE network because of this feature even though you're limited on handsets and have less coverage then PCS offers. With the new PCS lineup coming out, it looks like there are some PTT handsets. Will these handsets function like MIKE on the PCS network or is it a hardware feature that will be disabled?

Good videoclip. It's nice to see that companies are starting to come out with the PTT on the PCS side though. Granted it's a slower response, it's also a technology that is fairly new to the PCS side of things and it can only get better.
Thanks!

I guess I should mention that Nextel is Iden which is the MIKE equivelent, and Verizon is CDMA which is Telus PCS equivelent.
I appreciate the clarification but I gathered this would be the case.
Thanks again!

Verizon has issued a firmware update and a system upgrade will occur within the next month. The firmware upgrade has half'd the delays and is supposedly better then Sprints ready link now.
The system upgrade is suppose to put Verizon's delays on par with Nextel's.
