Here is info from Peppe's website on "Everything Bluetooth." this is mostly aimed at PPC's, but is does have step by step guide for installing the desktop stuff and links for the best drivers.
I currently recommend anyone buying a bluetooth dongle try to get a Belkin F8T001 Version 2, or any other class 1 (100m range) dongle that comes with or has updates to Widcomm 1.4.x.x drivers.
The driver version that most companies support and that ships with most dongles is 1.2.2.16. There is a 1.3.2.7 Stack that is much simpler to use, it adds support for network bridging, which can be used instead of ICS if you have windows XP, and will allow someone to not have to move their router in order to get bluetooth network access working.
I highly recommend you download a 1.3.2.7 driver from the section on the right, "Download 1.3.2.7." If your device is not listed try a few 1.3.2.7 drivers one will typically work. The 1.3.2.7 driver will uninstall the old driver through a wizard follow the directions and it should go smoothly.
The setup i currently use: Encore BT3030 dongle (not the one currently on their site, but actually a tecom Bt3030). 1.3.2.7 drivers from bluewireless. Windows XP Pro. Wired connection to a netgear wired Router connected to a cable modem. I have the wired connection bridged to the bluetooth connection.
I've been reading this thread and just ordered a Belkin F8T001 Version 2 from Amazon. Seems like it will do everything and uses the latest drivers. Hopefully it will work well with the Nokia 3650.
I would have picked one up in town but we no longer have a CompUSA, Gateway Country or any computer store for that matter. They all left!
