So far i have tried the AmbiCom bluetooth dongle.
i have the com ports all set up and SPP (serial port protocol) devices are paired and are visible with AmbiCom's bluetooth Neighborhood.
using it with PC suite, the mRouter and nokia connection manager still says: "Media Type is not Supported.."
I'm using WinXP SP1 with all the patches and updates. Same as Ambicom software.
Please list your USB bluetooth that have worked for you.
thanks!

i use d-link dbt-120 .. works great for me. never had a problem!
thanks for the comments. i forgot to add if you have gotten them to work with PC suite AND WinXP AND Nokia 6600?
and if its not too much to ask what your procedure was to get pc suite to finally see the n6600. Frankly, i've tried everything.
been searching and reading all the forums in regards to bluetooth connectivity problems with pc suite/n6600. nothing concrete
it works with windows xp and my n-gage .. not the 6600 though..
I'm using a TDK USB bluetooth dongle with windows XP and a nokia 6600
I use the Belkin and Win XP Pro. The Belkin is a popular choice that can be picked up at your local CompUSA.
Thanks, i'll look for either the TDK or belkin when i'm near a compusa or bestbuy.
lets keep this thread going so it may benefit others with a list of "known" adapters that have worked.
i have an epox one thats worked with win2000 and xp, using a t68m, t68i, t616, s56, 3650, n-gage, and 2 ipaq models.
I'm using the Trendware USB dongle, comes with the latest Widcomm drivers and works great. It's also $17 after rebates up to the end of the year.
I had a Belkin (Tecom) version 1, it died on me unexpectedly a few weeks ago.
msi bt usb adapter works with 7650,6600 and n-gage...
pc suite that works:
7650/3650
n-gage
6600 unknown
Achtung baby.. Tonight we play it my way !!!
I'm using a class 1 Bluetooth Dongle from X-micro for my Nokia 6600
website here:
http://www.x-micro.com/donglec1.htm
Works perfectly with the Nokia PC Suite and it's cheap too!![]()
Here is info from Peppe's website on "Everything Bluetooth." this is mostly aimed at PPC's, but is does have step by step guide for installing the desktop stuff and links for the best drivers.

I currently recommend anyone buying a bluetooth dongle try to get a Belkin F8T001 Version 2, or any other class 1 (100m range) dongle that comes with or has updates to Widcomm 1.4.x.x drivers.
The driver version that most companies support and that ships with most dongles is 1.2.2.16. There is a 1.3.2.7 Stack that is much simpler to use, it adds support for network bridging, which can be used instead of ICS if you have windows XP, and will allow someone to not have to move their router in order to get bluetooth network access working.
I highly recommend you download a 1.3.2.7 driver from the section on the right, "Download 1.3.2.7." If your device is not listed try a few 1.3.2.7 drivers one will typically work. The 1.3.2.7 driver will uninstall the old driver through a wizard follow the directions and it should go smoothly.
The setup i currently use: Encore BT3030 dongle (not the one currently on their site, but actually a tecom Bt3030). 1.3.2.7 drivers from bluewireless. Windows XP Pro. Wired connection to a netgear wired Router connected to a cable modem. I have the wired connection bridged to the bluetooth connection.
Tman, YOU ARE THE MAN!!
i tossed out the ambicom junk installed and tried the Widcomm software and drivers. (setting a restore point of course)
it works!! after some fidgiting with settings and serial com ports, PC suite came about and connected to the paired device.
many thanks.
you can add "Ambicom USB dongle" to the list. as it works but only with the widcomm software.
yipee
I've been reading this thread and just ordered a Belkin F8T001 Version 2 from Amazon. Seems like it will do everything and uses the latest drivers. Hopefully it will work well with the Nokia 3650.
I would have picked one up in town but we no longer have a CompUSA, Gateway Country or any computer store for that matter. They all left!
