One question:

How did you insert MS Duo PRO 256 Mb into P900, because MS duo Pro is biger than MS duo for P900.

duo stick that works?

and also....i was thinking of getting the 512 duo from sandisk. its only like 90 bux compared to the genuine sony stick that is around 250....will it work?

Sandisk states that their duo stick is 100 percent compatabile guaranteed with all sony products anybody can confirm that?

There is Memory Stick Pro (large form factor) and Memory Stick Pro DUO (small form factor).

I don't think the 1GB cards are out yet. Sandisk is fine - I used one in my conversion video (see page 1). The P900 apparently can't take avantage of the faster DUO cards, so they will all run at the same speed (on the phone) no matter what brand you get. If you also plan on using your cards in a camera or computer (and speed is important), you might want to purchase a faster model (from a vendor like Lexar or Sony).

Yes, the phone will work fine. When you load the conversion firmware images it will remove all traces of Orange, though.

Sandisk works fine, and is the cheapest (see my other post).

I have always thought Sony products before Oct 2003 (maybe not Cameras) do not support Duo Pro cards and have felt its a software issue.

Even the new S700 coming out doesn't support Pro DUO (SCREW YOU SE).

Is the Bluetooth headset the only problem so far, as i am many concerned with sending via Bluetooth and find control panel much more stable than Handy Day or Tracker.

Lots of Bluetooth issues. Please check through the various threads for more info about what works/doesn't work. The only headset that really works is the Jabra (BT200 or BT250). Your mileage will vary with any other Bluetooth operation.

Regarding the P910 and its fancy screen, it seems to draw more power from the battery as on the Sony Ericsson website its shorter than the P900.

Battery life will remain the same with the conversion.

Could you please get back to me on how to go about receiving the P910 firmware in the Uk for the P900

I do not do business Internationally, so as to not take away business from others in the GSM community. In RARE instances I will take an overseas order, though.

Well, you can also flash the unbranded P900 firmware to it, and will have a fully functional phone with all of the Orange crap removed...

will the converted one have problems with handy day? im big on that and i dont really use tracker. also does any one know if any nextlink headsets works on the converted phone. i tihnk i might get eht new bluespoons when it comes out.

I am using HandyDay 2004 and Keymapper on my converted P900 and it works fine.

Just to get a feel.... how much is the 256MB duo pro out there in the other part of the world?

I bought one from Taiwan, Sandisk, cost about NT2000, which is about US60.
