Check out my P900 converted to a P910a

Thanks to Fighter, I just converted my P900 to a P910a. I will be testing everything out tonight, and posting a full review in this same thread later tonight or tomorrow.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up... As I said MONTHS ago, the 128MB MS Duo size limitation is SOFTWARE-based. I am now happily using a 256MB MS Pro Duo card in my P900.

Here are some more nice features that come with the conversion:

-Bluetooth handsfree profile
-HTML email

I will list all of the features added when I do the full review.

Be aware that I am most likely running a beta P910a firmware on the phone. Time will tell if I can upgrade to later revisions using the Online Update service. In addition, I will be testing various bandlocks on the phone to see if the P900's radio is capable of using 850MHz.

It is also my understanding that the latest P910 firmwares enable RSA protection, but that is no longer an issue for experienced "servicemen".

And yes, I will be offering this upgrade service to anyone interested.

anlog, I have a quiestion, do you have que archive which you used to update the firmware? is It aviable on the eMule? does it really support a Pro Duo of 1Gb?

Yes it does... You know - it supports Ultra II allso... but it probably runs at PRO Speeds... Like on my SONY DC P72... PPL Reported allso that P900 - converted to P910a supports up to 2gb MS Sticks... I will soon convert my phone - just to see the result... But for now - i must get me P990... Still waiting to come to my Mobile Provider

I just want all of you from Sweden to know that Console in Vaesteraas can make the conversion for you. They even leave a one year warranty on the conversion job if you should get any trouble resulting from the conversion. Price is SEK 300 (about $40) and if you don´t live naerby you can send the phone to them by mail.

I converted my p900 and it is working perfectly.

Hi everybody, just a beginner question: I NEED to use a MS Duo Pro (or anything else at least 512 MB size) on my SE P900.
Absolutely NO NEED for other kind of function upgrades, just this memory size enlargement........... Can you please suggest the easiest way to do that, and if I can do it on my own?

i'm from croatia, and don't know where can i flash my phone. is there maybe a version i can install from my pc directly, or some program that enables use of pro duo cards? i want to listen mp3's

Sorry - there's no version like it - you can not do it on your own if you do not have the proper hardware for it - because it flashes the whole phone... I'm from SLO and my friends do this - in Ljubljana - about Croatia i do not know - sorry... I still did not flash my phone - because i have a broken display - first i need to fix that or maby i'll just get me the P990. It's much better... You can get you a P910 - it's much better tho...

I bought a p900 and i dont care about the bluetooth functionality...i just need the extra memory.....who am i supposed to contact to get this done in the US....i tried to pm analog...but still no reply...help me out guys

Why aren't performing them anymore. Its a good way to make some money and you can really help out people in need. I hate having to use the 128mb card. Its so small, the P900 will be so great with a 1gb card or something. Can consider converting my P900...please
