this q? goes out to all ring tone guys!
"can yo make a mp3 into a midi file?"
Technically, it can be done, but the final result will sound horrible since you're basically re-recording the MIDI into another format through your sound card and mic. You'll lose most of the dynamic range of the file which isn't worth it.
well, if the recorded song file's format is mp3.....under the properties/advanced tab.....then its a mp3, a midi file has chords and set strings.....no voices and no pitching of volumes....but i was asking just to see.....not trying to bust your balls...![]()
Most people fail to keep this in mind regarding MIDI files... they're essentially synthesized data files that tell the player what chords, pitches, durations, etc. to produce at what times. It isn't as easy and especially as clean to "convert" a MIDI file to WAV or MP3. If the phone has the capability to play both (the Vxxx series does), it's better to use one or the other.Originally posted by cerver7

i have the v400....but i have a mid file that has voices and it will not set as the ringer...but it will play, its cool if it had more memory to be a media player.....but its only 5Mb and thats not enough.
There are threads that show you how to delete and/or remove locked files to free up more room on your phone.Originally posted by cerver7

problem is that each time i encode something, it tells me that there is one error.
Post the error; maybe I can help. Otherwise, I'd be willing to bet it's a setting somewhere.Originally posted by supra97RX7
