What's the difference between call forwarding menu in Cingular web and my phone?

I noticed I can set up call forwarding from either my phone or Cingular website. Is there any difference between two? Also if I activate call forwarding to a long distance number, will I be charged extra? Thanks.

The phone option is fairly technical and may end up canceling your voice mail if you hit the wrong thing. Just do it on the web.

However, call forwarding is available, but NOT free. I don't know the exact billing, but the best you'll get away with is $0.10 /call. The worse is probably $0.10/minute plus long distance.

If you want to do this more than very rarely then get the $2.99 Fast Forward option which eliminates all other fees.

I think you're wrong. Some markets don't have the charge anymore, others never had it to begin with.
