Will Amazon do a data only plan?

I want to get a PPC PE but I only want it for data, if I call Amazon, can I sign up for data only plan?? If not any ideas on the best way to do this, for example, should I get one of the plans online and then change it? Any info will be appreciated.

Best would be get a regular plan then call cust care and change it.
