OK, had some errors and I'll go over them here, but will say that I was successful in getting games off a Cingular V180 and loading them onto a T-Mobile V180.

Here goes... I installed PST 7.11 and the patch to enable the app loader, then I installed Midway and tested it with a game I already had on my PC. Worked well.

I then used a program called P2kmanPST to view the files on my T-Mobile V180 phone. Trying to download a file off my phone got me this error every other attempt: "UNSUPPORTED/INVALID PARAMETER FOR OPCODE Fail: cannot open file"
So I had to click download twice to get the save as window to pop up.

Once I got the jar and jad files on my PC I used Midway to check which was what. I got errors similar to:
    Parsing error at line 10
    Parsing error at line 11
    Parsing error at line 12

So I switch to the Cingular V180 and downloaded all the games off it. Midway read these but when trying to load to the T-mobile V180 I got this:
    Opening JAD file.............[OK]
    Connecting the phone.........[OK]
    Transmitting data blocks.....[OK]
    Completing transmission......[OK]

    Opening JAR file.............[FAILED]

    JAR downloading failed.

Now, what I did next was weird. I had to rename the jar files and then use JADgen to make a jad file. Then everything loaded to the T-mobile fine.

    Now questions:
    1. Why did the T-mobile downloads give me Parsing errors and the Cingular downloads did not?
    2. I noticed that the new games on my T-Mobile phone don't have unique icons. There were other game files listed other then the jad and jar files in the Cingular phone, should I have downloaded/uploaded those as well, what are they for?

Thanks to everyone for their help. To newbies: Sometimes these programs take time to load or appear or can take several tries to get stuff to work. Be patient.

    yo

i think the icons needs the png file.
now i saving only rms files for games saves.

with the downloaded games chk the jad file.

in my roger downloads i see jads have variables in them for vendor, sms-codes, delete-y-n, port;xxx, stuff thats just scary b/c they have roger in it etc.

i always use jadgen and get new jad for the jar files before uploading in to phone.

I'm glad this guide has actually helped people. At this point however, I believe the p2ktools program has surpassed MIDway as the best method for installing games onto a moto. As a result of this fact, I won't be updating this thread any longer.

Go to Games & Apps> Scroll to the game you want to delete> hit the top middle button and scroll to delete> Hit SELECT.

But note that in general, after deleting an app/game, the next time you load another one, it will take the same spot in the ordered list of apps/games as the one you just deleted. E.g. you have 5 and you delete the 3rd one; now only 4 are shown in the list. The next one you load will be inserted _again_ in the 3rd place, so that, so that apps that were initially in >=4th place, remain in the same position.
Suppose you have an app that you'd like to have in the first place in the list no matter how many games you put there, but currently is number 3 out of 3. I believe you can try to play with aaall the file names through p2kman or alike (can you do that with deBrander? - haven't got the time to explore yet, not much time lately). But a sure bet if you still keep the original .jar files (or you feel comfortable backing them up from the phone) is removing everything and re-installing in the SAME order you want them to show up. Sounds silly but that's life.
Probably deBrander allows you to do this more efficiently or there is some p2k soft that won't get you confused and will be quicker. I did this a looong time ago and didn't try alternatives.
Any addition on this, could probably help (such a link that I may have missed).
    Cheers, c.

I know, may sound dumb. But sometimes you want to open your Java, and just click once to launch your favourite "application"... For work, for instance...
Or one may have an OCD for Order. Probably I need to do yoga, to center myself, don't you think?
