maybe you have to enable java again after upgrading?
You guys are amazing.. i can't believe the wealth of knowledge that lies within here!.. Just got a v3 and am just unlocking things left and right now thanks to this site and the ppl here..
Starting with getting some cool games on there currently..
Thanks a bunch!!
I flexed my v400 to v600. After I reinstalled the games and tried to run them, my phone gave me an error message. They were all purchased from Cingular if that helps. Are games for v400 not compatable for v600? Thanks.![]()
thx dood
Analog Tiger - what a great walkthru! Thanks for all your hard work and time!![]()
I wonder if you could help me out here... I get to the point where my phone's screen shows all the details as you say and the option to CANCEL or DOWNLD. When I press DOWNLD, I immediately get an error msg on my phone screen
"Invalid File"
"Failed"
Then it goes back to my Java Settings screen. On my Midway screen on my PC, I get [ok] for everything apart from the last line -
"Transmitting data blocks [00001] [Failed]"
Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong, or is it (as I hope) the game at fault, rather than my Phone/PC set-up?
I can get the Jad file on my phone, and download appears, but when I go to download the app, I recieve this message:
Opening JAD file.............[OK]
Connecting the phone.........[OK]
Transmitting data blocks.....[OK]
Completing transmission......[OK]
Opening JAR file.............[FAILED]
JAR downloading failed.
whats the deal, can anyone help???![]()
I have a question for anyone that can help.... I"ve only been able to get one game to download to my phone. I follow the guide exactly. It will actually go through the downloading process but when the downloading is complete I get the error message that it's not the right file type.
hello,
i also having same issue.
running v300. after transfer game to fone shows installing...then it shows invalid file. after then the game is gone.
I have remade JAD files test other games from same company and still same problem.
The only change on the fone is that i DL a game from cell-carrier for mooola...can they be spyware...causing these games to be rejected?
Midway is fine does not say Invalid file or anything...its fone.
What can be this??
thank you
unknown to me, coincedence I speak Napolean's quote.
I know Midway will upload games to my phone, but how do I get the games from my V180 back to my PC or from one V180 to another V180? Anyone?
Hey,
All you gotta do is find a/the jad file, open it after copying to PC to see if that is ur game.....then copy.
this is wut i do now with saved games and high scores...copy the rms file, they will be j2meXX.jad etc.
first install is j2me0, second is j2me1, so on......find out by opening the jad file. copy to PC remember then rename.
goodluck.
Whoa turtlepwrz, Slow down!
I haven't loaded Midway yet. Are you saying that Midway can view/copy files off the phone? If not what software are you using to do this?
Thx
Use p2kman (or one in its family).
You'll see the file structure, look for the files named j2me0.jar, j2me1.jar, etc. and download the one you want.
If you download the .jad, it will tell you what program is exactly - so you can verify. To do so, use the .jad in MIDway - the original name of the Java app/game should appear in the screen.
At least in my E398 the apps/games are numbered in the same order in which they are listed on the phone. But note that according to this rule the SECOND one in the list would be j2me1.jar, NOT j2me2.jar.
If you get both the j2meXX.jar and its .jad, and rename the former to whatever you want, just remember to create a new .jad. Or just use Bluetooth to transfer the .jar.
Hope this helps a little.
