I have Verizon phone and dsl plan...can I get a good deal on a VRZ cell phone/plan?
From my profile, you notice that I'm a T-Mobile user. I have my good and bad days with them. Anyway, I'm curious about Verizon cell phones and the pricing for data plans, especially the ability to teether data to my laptop and handheld. How fast are the speeds? Also, what would be the average price for a decent (say, at least 400min+n/w) and data plan?
From the subject line it looks as if you're asking if you get a discount for being a current Verizon customer...if so the answer is no. There is Verizon, and then there's Verizon Wireless. Unfortunately they don't have the ability to combine billing.

Actually they've just launched a One-Bill option that lets you link your home and wireless bill, and you get a $5 discount on the home portion for doing so. Not exactly what I'd call a "good deal", but it's something.
Call your landline office. Rules vary by state. Billing can be combined but no discount, landline reps in some states can sell wireless service, other's can't. Last I heard they were working on bundle discounts, but it is slow coming since Verizon landline is only part owner of Verizon Wireless.
Verizon actually does allow you to combine billing and get a discount on all your services here in NYC. I am not sure when they started it, but I remember the commercials and the marketing campaign. Either way, I have it and I'm in NYC, so I know it's possible.
