Those 2 excuses arent very relevent i'm afraid. The fact is, companies in this country can pull a lot more crap here then they could elsewhere. It's because we're used to companies being cheap and we dont think much of it, it's just how things are done here. Notice how other countries have better, cheaper broadband. People in europe get an insane amount more vaccation time from their jobs. And obviously, their wireless services are better. Remember when people used to say that the US had the most pathetic wireless network in the world, well it was true then, and its still partailly true now even though things have gotten better. Theres just a bunch of things like that in which we Americans get screwed out of because of corporate greed in this country.

Uneducated opinion? That post had nothing in it what so ever against the UK. If anything I was saying that America sucks for things like wireless and broadband, and the rest of the world, notice I used Europe as an example, is better. I suggest you read things more carefully next time.

You can't get mad at virgin usa because they aren't like virgin uk. The main thing that drives things like the cell industry is demand. Why do you think phones are more advanced in japan than in europe? There is more demand in asia for the phones and the services and people are willing to spend money on their phones and all the extras that come along with it. There isn't enough demand in the US to justify having everything that other countries have. If the cell companies started upgrading everything to match japan, they would NEVER survive. With VM, it also has to do with the fact that they are relatively new. You can't expect too much from a relatively new, prepaid company piggybacking off of sprints cdma network. If virgin were operating on lets say, tmobiles network, then they would have slightly better phones but I guarantee you even if that were true, you wouldn't see the samsung p735 or sharp tm150 being offered
