I'm most interested in the weather apps and my demos have full functionality and enough time to where I only have to reload the mif quartely throughout the year.

Although, I do have a few rounds of YETI Smack the Pingu loaded too

i have tried hitting clear before the do you want to run screen and during, i never pushed OK??
When exactly do you push clear? if it after the download complete screen then this no longer works.

Has this been answered anywhere? I should make my decision on whether to buy a V710 in the next few days. I have a few apps that I would certainly like to transfer over with BitPim. Can it be done?

I know on the v710 when you run out of time on the demo, you can delete it then you can go to the programming menu change the get it now server to testapps then launch get it now, and then go back to the programming menu and change the server back, and launch get it now and the demo will be back there again.

Does this work on the e815?

woah woah.... whats this all about? how do u get to programming menu and do this?
the way i've always done it is to get tons of time on the demo with the CLR button, downloading a free demo over and over. then I load the .MIF onto my computer as a backup using bitpim. then if it ever runs out, you can just reload that MIF to get your same amount of time back. then you can still alwasy use bitpim to delete the prefs.dat file. that will clear its memory of what you've already downloaded, and everything should be available again.

I just thought I'd say something, I've done this with the E815, and what you have to do is click download the trial application, but you don't press CLR until after the program downloads. There is a short window of time when the phone just says "Downloading..." Where the status bar was. That's when you press CLR. Then you can just keep hitting OK and CLR in sucession.

I know for a VX5200, you wait until the demo is almost downloaded, like.. 98%. Because it froze alot when I did it, I decided to keep the backlight on. So, it got really high up in the status bar, and then i pressed CLR, and when I pressed that it got to 100%, and went back to the screen where you download the demo. Then I just kept kitting OK and CLR.

You can't let it get to the "This app has been installed succesfully" screen. If you do, you waited too long to press CLR.

i think it is broken on the 9800 "the v" cause no matter what i do, if i let it get to 100% or well 97%=100% and hit clear it goes back to the page to dowload it, but when i click the demo again i get a message saying "app failed to download you will not be charged for this application. please try later." but then after that if i exit and go in again the demo is gone. :-( damn it :-)
