It seems that some folks are having the same problem I am experiencing with new downloaded Midi files....

I have an 8910 from Alltel. I am able to download new Midi files to my phone using Bitpim.......

The new file is showing up in my "Media Gallery, Tones" menu..
When I select this new file the tone plays great ! But on that same screen the file Icon on the bottom of the screen has a RED X across it.

Then while displaying the midi on my screen... The menu choices on the bottom of the screen does have the "Send" button..
When I click on it the phone give me the following message..
"Item cannot be assigned" ......

Does anyone know what the problem could possibly be, and what it is I need to do differently so I am able to use this downloaded Midi....

Your help would be greatly appreciated....
