the best way to describe is:
if i turn the phone on and set a new password and then turn the phone off, the default s100 password is active and not the new one I chose.
could this be a sim issue? or a messed up phone?

Hey all,
I just got a s100 and am having alittle problem with it. It doesn't seem to be storing any setting that's not on the sim whenever i turn the phone off. It's not like i'm pulling the battery or anything, it just when I turn the phone off, i lose all my settings.
any one have any ideas how to resolve this?
thanks,
tj

my s100 is working properly. all the settings are saved after rebooting. I got mine from LVWireless, by the way.

This model is not available in North America. Sadly, it is only available overseas and I have no information on products that are sold in other countries. You may see our full line of mobile phones that are available in the United States at http://www.samsungusa.com. Unfortunately, we cannot speculate on products that may be developed in the future for the North American market. Since we are in technical support, we are only able to address and support that is already on the market. We do not sell phones directly to the public.
Your interest in Samsung products is appreciated.
Sincerely,

filo,
I own a new s100 phone. My network is Cingular 1900 GSM. My network selection is on "automatic". My Band selection is set to GSM 1900. When I turn the power off at night or anytime and restart the phone is does not keep track of the 1900 GSM setting. Upon the restart the phone searches for a network unsuccessfully. When I go to check the settings I find that the phone has defaulted back to 900-1800 GSM setting instead of staying locked on 1900 GSM that i have programmed. I have to manually reset the phone to GSM 1900 every time I turn the phone off and on. The first week I owned the phone it worked fine but the second week this problem surfaced. Any fix this problem or is anyone else having this problem?
