Interesting. Did ithis letter talk about the bluetooth portion of the upgrade?
If you really do have access to the update and want to work on the transflash card issue, then you should pm superdavex. He knows all about the seem files and how they work.

Take a screen shot of every page of the PDF, then we will all believe you

Seriously, verizon SUCKS. Why would they take away something that has been implemented since the phone's release. I am not upgrading. ×××× them!

    SystemOverRide,

Do you have a copy of this flash or just a phone that has it? If you have it can you share it?

    SystemOverRide, thanks for the info!

Excatly what I was looking for, it actually looks like the cars will now work like they should with the phone. ::fingers crossed::

Hopefully verizon will start flashing the phones before the end of the year....

    Thank you for the info.
Hopefully you and superdavex can make some head way with the transflash issue.

You can see by the numerous pages in the index how badly they totally $crewed this phone up before its release. Honestly, it's downright shameful, but then again, "duh... we've got the strongest network... just only the weakest phones..."

Now they're trying to impede an apparent "revenue leak" while other carriers are open to a better platform and better technology. You have to appreciate corporate greed at its absolute finest.

Well, I'm happy that they've finally acknowledged the simultaneous ring/vibe while a Bluetooth headset is active, but this will definitely be my last Verizon Wireless phone, unless it's a PocketPC/Palm-converged telephony device in which the software and ringtones will truly be up to me without causing the "suits" at Verizon Wireless to cry over not gaining $0.25 to $1.49 per ringtone and a ridiculous $7.49 for an installed application or game.

I cannot view the documents. My question is simple (and maybe naive):

If I do not have a BT ready auto, and already transfer everything I want via cables, are there any other reasons to desire the flash? Giving up MP3 transfer is a big loss and a price I am unwilling to pay for features that I do not use.
