So the first time, Go to Settings->Connection->Bluetooth->Handsfree->Look for Devices. Then pair the headset and the phone.

Now just make sure Settings->Connection->Bluetooth->Setup->Power is "On" and leave it that way. You never have to do another thing on the phone.

Now, when you turn on the headset it will connect automatically. You never need to go back and do anything on the phone unless you turn off the bluetooth power for some reason - I just leave it on all the time and only turn on/off the headset.

My entire family will be getting v551s early next week. Can someone explain bluetooth? Bluetooth headset? How does it work?

    Thanks

Bluetooth is a pain in the ×××. It's wireless, it's a great concept, but it is unreliable, slow, and a pain. I'd rather have my wires.

I have been using bluetooth for over a year now with a T616, PC, and PDA and have had 0 reliability problems. If I didn't know any better, I would swear they were all always wired together. Earlier software implementations were not the most "user friendly" to get properly configured, but done right bluetooth is great.
