Problems with unlocked phones on T-Mobile???

I have customers who have problems with their unlocked phones. They check their voicemail accounts and recieve a blank text message on their handset everytime they call their voicemail. Has anyone had a problem like this with their unlocked phones?

If so, what can be done to fix them?
Why didn't I get a free TV when I got my digital cable service??? I got a free phone with my cell phone plan.

I'm on an unlocked, ATT branded Nokia 6800. No problems here.

I used a factory unlocked Nokia 6310i for over a year and now use a Nokia 6600 that I bought from TMobile and they gave me the unlock code. I really doubt the fact that it is an unlocked phone has anything to do with the problem.

remember, boys and girls, that Drag'nGT is in Atlanta, which means he's on the old Powertel get-a-MWI-instead-of-getting-an-annoying-text-message-you-have-to-erase system.

although i can't answer your specific question, i can tell you that when i put my at&t sim into my unlocked, unbranded 6600, the MWI does not work properly. i believe a firmware update may solve the issue. perhaps the panasonic is the same way. i know from my experience selling them that they don't mind releasing buggy phones and trying to fix it later *cough* X70 *cough*.

I've used the GD55 with Tmobile service for over a year and never had any such problems. I also spent 2 days in Atlanta and I didn't experience that problem either. I remember getting a voicemail but it didn't show me the VM icon, just the anoying SMS.

voicemail indicators are determined by your home market, not where you're physically located when you receive the voicemail.
