    Sound and icon???

Two questions for anyone using mpegable:

1: Is there a way to increase the volumn on the encoded videos?

2: When you purchase mpegable, do you still have the developers
name in the upper left corner of the screen?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!

After reading everything I can find, I downloaded mpegable to play with. I was using the Nokia prog and QT6.5.2. QT produces great output but can't read any of the videos I want to convert. Nokia works on everything I've tried but looks and sounds bad.
I have a large collection of dvix & xvid tv shows I would like to convert but every one of them has failed to play so far. I did manage to create one short video from a preview clip that is only 1:30 min long. It uses div3 compression instead of divx/xvid. Here's what I'm experiencing: If I try to input a divx file, mepegable crashes. If I input an xvid it seems to work. I set all the encode parameters to what everyone says will work on a V710 and let it run. About 45 minutes later, I get a 40+MB .3gp file that won't play using the mpegable player. I can fast forward through it - there is video and it looks good - but if I just hit play, it just sits there. You can see a flicker in the counter but it never increments. If I transfer the video to my phone and try to play it, the phone goes dead then comes back on as if I'd just cycled power. Anyone else have these problems? Does mpegable work with divx or xvid? Anyone else try converting 350MB files?

I'll have to get you to send me the file, can you host it or email it to me? [email protected] I will work with it and find something. The size is not a problem as I work with files that are over a gig with no problem

    Frustrated

I did some more testing and reading last night. 3ivx files work fine since they are a similar breed of mp4. The divx/xvid varients appear not to be directly convertable using mpegable according posts I've read on the mpegable forum and elsewhere.
I found a couple of articles describing lengthy proceedures for extracting the audio/video tracks from those formats, converting the audio from mp3 to aac, then re-encoding everything back together again. Frankly, that's too much work for too little gain.
I just wanted to do a quick convert of some tv shows to watch whenever I'm stuck somewhere with nothing else to do, not waste large chunks of my life in the conversion process. Crappy as it is, the nokia prog does this quickly and is watchble in a pinch, though the sound is bad.
Have you tried the Xilisoft or ImToo converters? Are they worth the download?

Just use the volume control on the left side of the phone. (usually used for earpiece volume).

Vid Request: I think Seinfeld and Simpson's episodes would be cool.
