Originally posted by blips What does an ESN number look like? I have 3 numbers it might be on this phone:
1) a 9 digit number starting with 3 letters
2) a 11 digit number with all numbers. In front of this number is "DEC:"
3)8 digit hex number
Both 2) and 3) are your ESN, just represented different ways.
"ESNs are represented in two ways: decimal and hexidecimal. Decimal is represented by 11 numerical characters, e.g 2204596915. Hexadecimal (HEX) is represented by 8 characters which are numbers and letters, e.g. e04624b3.
Don't confuse the letter O with the number 0 (zero). It is always zero. An ESN will only contain letters A-F."
