Can anyone help me out with using AIM? I am tethering my D500 to a iPaq3715 (PPC) and can use IE through GPRS without problems. But I can't connect onto AIM and was wondering if anyone could help on with that.

AIM's servers listen to all ports. You can setup AIM to use port 465 and that should do it.
I just got the $4.99 t-zones on my phone and wanted to know as of today does this still work. I would try it myself but it seems that opera browser I added to my phone (Nokia 3650) trial is expired. So the reason I am asking now is so that I wont pay for opera and not get the intended use from it. Also, I wanted to know if the proxyort number on the orignal trend is still woring or do you have to find a new one. Also, if this is still working, does anyone know what ports are ok to use? I know you can find proxysorts all over online but mostly for 80 and 8080. Anyway, if anyone can confirm this is still working that would be great. As i said I have a nokia 3650, and I have the $4.99
t-zones.
Thanks alot for the response. Heres what happened:
Like i said before, opera browser was not working for me because i passed the 15 day trial stage. So i got the doris free browser (with the 3 minute limit), changed the proxy to the orignal listed, and nothing. It went to the t-mo page about paying $4.99 (which I already did). It did let me check email from aol and yahoo and what not. but I was not able to visit sites like wap.howardforums.com or wap.nba.com so then i just quit all together.
Now tonight I finally get into opening and my brand new motorola a630 and guess what? I CAN NOW VISIT SITES I WANT! than included howardforums, nba.com and a few other sites i normally visit. The only problem i occurred is when I tried to view a website with a lot of graphics and stuff like that.
Now im wondering if this was supposed to happen in the first place with the the $4.99 plan. From what i read here, i had to get the $4.99 plan, get the 3rd party browser, and change the proxy, did that with my nokia 3650 which was a no go, and when i used my v630 everything worked perfect. So know i wondering if im missing something since i did not have to go through all of that with my nokia 3650. please respond, thanks!
Good, didnt want to be the only one and had everyone say i was a liar Hope this goes on for a while! Maybe t-mo is wising up!
This will have the a630 at its best! VERY VERY NICE!

It was working for me last week but now it won't connect to any settings I put into it. Can somebody tell me what there complete working settings are. Thank you.
Girls are like phones. They like to be held, and talked too but if you press the wrong button you'll get disconnected!!!
One of the trick with the nokias is to connect by tzones first, then hit menu and go to Opera/Netfront, hold menu close out tzones, and menu back to Opera/Netfront. The only thing I can think of why it does this is that tmo wants us to connect to the homepage first then branch off from there for some reason. This trick also works for email if you have a problem.
Please call 1-800-937-8997 on a different phone so we can help you...

You shouldn't have to do this. The SW will either prompt you for a connection or you can even specify a default connection in many apps. I've never had to connect first then open the app I really wanted to use.

The problem is sometimes between network lag and the memory limitation of the phone that while running the apps even with the correct settings it won't allow a connection. Since tzones default browser takes so little memory the device can handle the lag and connect and once connected then when you launch the other apps (advanced browser or email) it's then a matter of simple routing. It's very similar to a home computer as most computer's you'll see a high spike in both processor and memory when it sets up the initial connection under the task manager and I don't believe the phone is any different (the more advanced phones some are using have a higher processor, memory, or both and seem less affected but the 3650 is definitely memory challenged).
I am using IM+, and I got AIM working on port 465. Has anyone gotten ICQ, MSN or Yahoo working as well? I have taken a guess at some ports but come up empty.
