Hi... lookin at your profile it appears you have a LG 5550... If your phone has worked in the past, It may have been switched to an unused NAM.

You can switch it back by doing the following.

    MENU - SETTINGS - SYSTEM - SET NAM - select NAM 1.

In extremely rare cases it could be possible that your programming information reverted to factory (possibly caused by damage ~ liquid/physical) at this point you could call in customer service or take your phone into the store to go through programming on your handset..

    Hope this info helps

I've seen this happen on LG's before. Make sure Auto NAM is set to no. Because if you are outside your home SID, it will look for the second NAM (which most likely is not programmed) and then it will show the not programmed thing.

Replace the phone. Liquid damage = death
A cell phone is like any piece of electronic equipment. If you drop a laptop in the water it won't work too well afterwards. Same rules apply for a cell phone.

    Cheers.

I have too many phones, with too many carriers. This is not a good thing.

oh so i shouldn't keep my phone in my pocket when i swim? Ha Ha Actually I have a friend who has lost more phones from dropping in the toliet, left in pants through the wash, leaky lunch box and some others. Its a running joke with him. (except the replacement costs) I was thinking i should keep my phone in a zip lock bag just for insurance.
