    Distinguishing Firmwares....

Alright, below are the files that I have to flash my phone with. Unfortunately, I cant find the difference in all them b/c reading through about 600 or so posts is going to be a bit troublesome. Could someone fill me in on the difference between them all:

Alltellv710flex.zip - this is superdaves first one maybe?

    CDMA-v710-Verizon-092204.zip - the texas upgrade?

    v710 VZW SW Upgrade 8700_01.40.0R.zip

I was told the CDMA one wouldn't do anything to my warrenty if lets say I took it into a Verizon store with it done, so what does it actually fix? My ultimate goal here would be to get the camera fixed and still be able to transfer files and ringtones either via-bluetooth (MPT) or through transflash. I guess in the long run I could do it USB, but I would rather do one of the other two. Any help would be appreciated. And please if your going to flame, just save your breath.

Thanks ahead of time for everyones help!

There really is an awfull lot of info to sift thru ... But, at the least, I would read/skim the entire SD02 thread:
    http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...hreadid=513683
This site has a brief/good V710 tutorial thing:
    http://motov710.blogspot.com/

The 8700_01.40.0R.zip is the Texas update - this is supposed to be the actual Verizon flash file that they "tested" in Texas. This disables some things, but fixes the camera a bit, and enables more BT functionality (ie, syncing). SD used this to base his 02SD flash on. SD's 02SD is in the Custom Images folder, btw.

The CDMA-v710-Verizon-092204.zip contains the original Verizon flash file, which is S/W version 1.30.8f (use this to get your phone back to original, when you need to return your phone if it gets hosed by the flash).

So the best one to use is going to be SuperDave's modified Texas one correct? Is the TF mp3 and wallpaper transfer enabled in his? How about Bluetooth using MPT? There is just so ×××× many dif. versions.

The Texas update will allow the phone to communicate with a BT car and the SuperDave SD version does more.
