I ordered mine about a week ago. I received the shipment yesterday. Not bad.

Anyway, what a PITA!!! After getting my Tungsten T3 done, I should have taken a beather and gone onto my V3 another day.

Poor results. I had to reapply a few times. I'll re-try again because the result on the V3 is far from perfect. I just checked the Tungsten... there is one speck underneath the protector.

The slightest spec of anything underneath the protectors will stop them applying properly. It took me nearly an hour before they went on clean.

i think they should privide us wtih dust-free rooms where we go in and apply the protectors (and of course before going in we have to all take a shower and go in all naked)

Yeah um...about applying the overlay, I got like one or two specs of dust inside the sticky part of my overlay...how am I supposed to take that out without using my fingers?

Also, does anyone have a problem with the overlay for the camera? Mine fell off within a day, and the sticky part won't stick anymore because of the lint that accumulated in my pocket

Actually I've read where people have recommeneded applying them in the bathroom. First turning on the shower on hot and letting it get steamy. Also using a can of compressed air to blow any dust away works well too.

About removing dust off the sticky part without touching it. Use scotch tape to do that.

Yeah, my camera thingy fell off once, but I think I had applied the wrong side. Hasn't come off since I got it on right.

I've also learned to live with one or two dust specs. It's just so hard to install them without getting one or two specs under. Once the screen turns on it's hard to even notice them.

now i know why you'd want to buy 2 of them, i'll be re-ordering mine. The cam one fell off and my outer lcd one got lost, was blow drying it and it flew accross the room and i looked forever but no luck.

lesson learned: order 2 of all accessories (also learned the hard way 2 cell skins are needed)

edit: btw larry congrats on your 12,000th post

Wow... I don't feel like a complete idiot.. well, I should say I don;t feel alone. I just re-ordered a new set of Martin Field overlays because I messed-up bad. I had one... only onse speck and it drove me nuts. I shoul dhave know better not to mess with it but I did. Instead of getting that one speck out I ended-up destroying the overlay (I won't go into the gory detail). Lucky, now there is a US distributor so we won't have to wait for a shipment from Singapore.

I also now have another set of clear Cell Skin so I'll have to do this procedure one more time.

D'oh... I have a can of compressed air for my keyboard. I am defintely wiser and will have more patience this round.

    Good luck!

Nothing to do with mobiles but I have just got a Martin Fields screen protector for my Sony PSP. Even though it's bigger the V3 one, it seemed a lot easier to put on for some reason. It's a super fit and it protects the screen perfectly and cuts down reflection a lot without spoiling the view in any way - another gold star to Martin Field!

what's the site of the US distributor? I remember someone said there was one, but you had to cut the overlays to fit and it didn't come w/ one for the camera. If martin fields is actually having a distributor here i want some

Pagnell... I also applied one on my Palm Tungsten T3 without a problem. Go figure. It could be a luck of the draw... it only seems logical that more problems would arise with more mass to cover such as your Sony PSP or the Palm T3.

    Regardless, it's a great product.

The sites are still the same... either MartinFields.com or Overlayplus.com

Just go to the United States as the region. Only weeks ago when I ordered my first set of screens, the distribution was handled by Doml International Pte, a Singaporian distributor. Now the distribution is handled by ETrade (not to be confused with the online broker) out of Las Vegas.
