hello
recently my e398 started freezing on the main screen, as in my keypad buttons dont work nor do the joystick or the "accept/reject" call buttons. somoene told me to flash it with the latest firmware, and i think i did it correctly, but my phone is still in the same situation, is there anything i can do?

Hi all,

I bought a T-mobile SDA. And unlocked it successfully to use with Rogers AT&T in Canada usign the info from this website.

Now then I tried to upgrade it ro i-mate sp5m rom found on the clubmate ftp folder. at 87% it failed causign a blue screen of death on my Windows XP machine. The machine rebooted. The phone screen was stuck so I did battery in and out. Then I got the blue, green and red screen. I did not take a backup on the mini SD before trying this upgrade.

At this point, without doing much research, i used IU_SPL+PatchedRUU.zip found from this site. It did a successful upgrade. But the only thing I now get it the white screen when i turn on my SDA.

Help please. I do not know what else to do now.

i think i have successfully killed my v550 i accidentally flashed it with the firmware for the v551 and also in th process it was flashed with firmware from th v3 all due to the flashes being placed in the wrong folders.

the bootloader was updated in the process and i was unable to install anythin else cause it kept givin me a jump failure in rsd lite.

finally i downgraded th bootloader as a last resort and now there is nothin @ all on the phone.

if i continuously tap th power on button while holding "#" + "*" th screen sometimes flickers and th windows message comes up with unknown usb device. but however doesn't last very long.

is there anythin that can me done or do i have to buy a new phone. thank you in advance anyone.

Your BootlLoader File is corrupted.
You will need to use Flashbackup 2.62 , read and save a good Bootloader file
from a good V3 phone. Then connect your damaged V3 to Flashback, do the
bootloader startup ( * + # + power on), of cause you will not have display on
the LCD screen, but on the program it is indicated connected.

Load the good Bootloader onto the damaged V3.
Viola, your bootloader is alive again.

HELP!!!!

Sorry, i overwrite the mma_ucp file, when installing the ID-Tox Theme dowloaded from MotoModders.com, when i restarted the phone (RAZR V3, yep!, the simple one) to see the theme changes, the phone crashed. It hangs in the HELLOMOTO image forever and it doesn't get started at all (the only way to turn it off is taking out the battery!). I was using P2KTools, and the
program got stuck tryng to connect back to the phone (it didn't respond)

All i did was:

Set the phone skin to Moto.

Renamed the theme files with the Silver word (so i can replace the silver theme and get the theme installed without flexing or flashing anything)

Uploaded the theme files, 690 Kb in 16 files

Replaced the mma_ucp file with the mma_ucp theme file (after first backing up the old one, of course)

Restarted the phone using the Restart option in P2KTools

I have removed the SIM card and restarted the phone, and it still gets stuck in the main image.

I haven't tested the battery charger yet (i don't have one at hand right now) but if the phone ignores the cable connection, i have my doubts about this one.

Lately I've used the Moto Repair Studio Demo Version, and started the boot loader pressing *, # and ON at the same time. In the program i've searched the V3 model and pressed "Repair", the program says:

Phone found
Flash mode ok
Exec loader failed
Erasing phone, please wait...
Erase fail

P2Ktools neither p2kman connects to it... P2KCommander tries to connect but the program crashes reading the file system...

Same problem...similar route to the problem..but the phone is e398@ROKR *.45R. I know my Boot Loader is NOT corrupted but the phones hangs at HELLO MOTO boot splash screen. P2K doesnt detect it....i dunno if it can be charged either :-(( Aider moi sil vous plaiz....HELP ME

Got the V3c into the "Bootloader USB INIT" mode and can see the phone from MultiFlashFlex. So now the Monser Pack. Found some online but they're identified by the bootloader number such as BOOT0681, for instance.

Will any of these do or will using the wrong Monster pack make the phone unusable? Thanks for the guidance that started this thread, good info.

BAh,just use a dead flash cable that has a charger jack on the side of it ,plug charger in there,take the main board out and unplug the flex cable.connect it to the dead flash cable,if it does not connect then the phones is toast

Ok you guys want a challange, here is one for ya.
Ok some how I have lost my bootloader , its a v3, I just read all 18 pages of this thread , yes i tried it all and nothing. Here is whats going on
I cannot put the phone in bootloader mode, the keypad lights just stay on, flashback up 2.62 does however see the phone, OK now i have tried to reflash, nothing I have to
do a PDS restore nothing, I have trid a bootloader restore nothing. My wife has the same version of a v3 I have full back ups of PDS, BL and full , yet i can not get this phone to take any program. I have tried every program that had been suggested here, I did find a great maybe ..BUT I can not get the program to work (SHXCoDec 2.65 ).


So in a nut shell my phone is dead right now, any of you old time modders have any suggestions, as i said the phone does not appear to go in *# power mode but som programs do see it??

i HAVE A V3 RAZR. WHILE DOING THE UNLOCK PROCESS MY PHONE STOPPED. NOW WEHN I CONNEC TO THE PC EVERYTIME IT SAYS "USB WAS NOT RECOGNIZED"

Yes I have the exact same problem but my computer doesn't recognize the usb driver. So, can't use the FlashBackup program to reflash.

i THINK I have my situation under control...
I WAS flashing my Motorola V3 Razor and my computer restarted on me within the first 5 minutes of flashing...
my cell phone then was stuck on the SW upgrade in progress...i reseted the phone hoping that the flash was succesfully completed before my computer shut down..BUT it wasnt..
my problem was that my phones screen wouldnt turn on and the keypad would stay lit until i took the battery out..as soon as i put the battery in the lights would turn on not giving me enough time to do the * and # step..(i tried that forever and it just didnt work..i tried many combinations and the screen wouldnt change to flash mode or to whatever it was supposed to change to)
so i searched through the forums and found a link to this program...

this program started flashing on the first try...i didnt have to try the * and # steps..i just connected the phone to usb and it worked
* note...whenever i connected my phone to my comp...my comp would detect the phone..i dont know if this would work if the phone isnt detected at all..

i cant offer you any help if asked because this was shear stroke of luck but i hope this can help other razor owners out there..
