i found the easiest way to be just to do a master reset on the phone... worked great... little bit of a pain to go through and make it how i like it... but o well...
what will i lose if i do a master reset, is there any other way to fix it
a "master reset" will reset settings that were changed on the phone (i.e. wallpaper, menu changes, etc.)Originally Posted by rustlerracer15
a "master clear" will revert the phone back to factory settings... deleting any saved texts, numbers saved to the phone, pictures, etc.
the other ways to fix this problem are located in the begining of this thread on page 1... or do a search.

if i did a reflash would it help? what would i lose after a reflash?
I am having a similar problem. I jumped in an tried adding a ringtone but accidently put it in the vavr folder within the audio folder. (I know, not good....) I deleted the ringtone from there and then added it to the audio folder with the rest of the ringtones. Now, when I select Settings, Ringstyles, Loud Detail, it takes me back to the menu within Settings. I tried deleting the .db files and restarting the phone, but that didn't work. The files are still there.
How do I delete these files, restart my phone and then disconnect from p2kman correctly. I selected the files and clicked the delete file(s) button one at a time but they don't go away. Also, my phone keeps the "connected" symbol on it even after I disconnect. I tried turning it off and even taking out the battery but no luck.
Any ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you download the patch also for PST.
Here are a couple fixes other then the PST one:
1. Open p2kman Delete MyToneDB.db & TempToneDB.bd from the /a/mobile/audio directory and do a master reset (security code 000000)
2. Open Motokit and use the fix ringstyles option
3. Using p2kman upload these seems to your phone SILENT RINGSTYLES
Sorry if they were already mentioned didnt go back and read whole thread.
XXXSamsungXXX you rock...your method worked flawlessly and took all of about 10 minutes..thank you very much for your help...I finally have ring details back and don't have to listen to my darned keys chirp whenever I dial..
I'm having all kinds of trouble deleting Moto E815 stock tones w/ Bitpim. Many have said it's not possible. But I'm a believer that it must be possible if one only knows how to do the hacks.Originally Posted by xlr8
