Here is some more info from info manager on the 3 ptt phones that will be released..Also in a previous post I said that the kyocera kx444 will have a $50.00 mail in..That info was not correct.Sorry!!!I am not perfect..
Check the spelling on the vx4700...you'll see that it says..."PTT Devices Must Be Activated on a PTT Price Plans"
Wow....VZW needs to do some editing to their stuff, or atleast get a new editor...
and on the t300p...
Phase II PTT Enhancements include:Phase II PTT Enhancements include:••Improved Battery LifeImproved Battery Life••Decrease in Perceived Call SetDecrease in Perceived Call Set--up Timeup Time••Decrease InDecrease In--Call LatencyCall Latency••Overall Enhancement in Network Overall Enhancement in Network PerformancePerformanceMotorola

The initial connect delay is like sprints readylink(It is disguised)When you hit the ptt button you hear an almost immediate chirp to speak, however it stills takes about 3 seconds to hear what you said on the other handset..Now after you connect it about a second delay back and forth..It's the initial connect that would kill it for a Nextel fan
Before you had to hold the ptt button for 7 to 10 seconds just to hear the tone to speak..So I guess you can say that the delay is kinda covered up.. It is with out a doubt an improvement..Will VZW be stealing a lot of Nextel customers?I dont think so...
Does anyone have the price plan pricing for the new PTT service. I heard a while back that Verizon was dropping the service by $10, so that it would be the AC plan + $10 for the PTT service. Is this info still correct? Also does anyone know if Verizon will be launching family plans for the PTT service? Thanks VZW Employee for the info on the phones. Much appreciated.

of course they wont, and they wont be signing up many for this service because who would want to give verizon more money for what they already get for free?
You have free IN calling, and a PTT phone and plan. Which one will you be using more? Your FREE IN or your PTT which you pay money for???
Also, how do we know PTT will work in fringe and analog area's? I know nextel is famous for its PTT because it works just about everywhere, coast to coast.

Lets break this down like I'm the village idiot. On a AC family plan currently it is $50 for primary and $9.99 for add-a-line on 450 minute plan.
So for PTT it is $19.99 for the add-a-line, but do you also pay $9.99 extra on the primary line?
from what i understand, it's $10 PER line, could change to $9.99 for marketing purposes. And it will only be offered on America's Choice, so for existing AC customers it shouldn't be a problem to get a phone and add the feature. doesn't look like the local guys will get PTT at this time.
