I like Motokit, I also am used to P2Kman. It is good to be able to backup everything on your phone. I will prob stick with P2Kman doing editing since I am more familar with it. Motokit is simple and user friendly to use.

I really don't like this program. Its pretty sloppy and un organized. I still prefer p2ktools. How ever this program is good for backing up flex's and such...

Well I just tried this with my V3 and no go... my phone already works on my laptop with P2kman and MPT, but here's what happened with Motokit.. attached phone to computer. little Win XP sound for device connected. Opened MotoKit. balloon at my taskbar. "New Hardware Found (Motorola V3)" ... an error has occurred while installing your new device [or something like that] and may not function properly. doesnt connect to motokit.. any ideas?

I get similar except no 'new hardware found' and Motokit doesn't see the phone connected. Have tried just about everything with no success.

Thumbs up Motokit is a GEM

A great find! Excellent for RAZR.

Did you guys noticed the "BLOCK Advanced Menu" option? It is checked in RAZR (Cingular version). Uncheck it. This will open-up all the Engineering menus within the "Network" menu in your phone. Click on "Search for Network" and you will get 5 bars and much faster GRPS connection (I am in Chicago).

    Checking "Engineering" will not work.

Also, do not use "Video/Engineering" tool. It messes-up the Cingular's default settings. You will loose AIM (was replaced by MESSAGE in my phone).

DEFINITELY use the back-up feather before using "Video/Engineering" or any other tool which suggests to backup the default files.

Increasing the Earpiece Volume is now a matter of one click.

    Questions:

    1. Did anyone notice that the last digit of IMEI is replaced by "X" in the bottom of the window as well as in the phone info? Why is this happening?

    2. In "Phone Info" menu it shows two pin/unlock codes. Are any of threse will unlock the phone?

I wish it had a direct skin editor (or does it?).

Anyone find any other interesting stuff? Thanks, this is a great little tool.

I wonder what tools Cingular use!
