My screen is bigger than yours
i installed nokia pc suite on my computer, and then plugged in my phone through a usb. but the computer isnt identifying the phone. can anyone help me? i dont know why the computer isnt recognizing my phone.

oh man sorry about that. i have a nokia 7610 and using windows xp. yes i downloaded the drivers. but after i downloaded the software, like for example i click on to synchronize phone, and none of the icons light up so it wont let me do anything. any help guys?

Is it a real DKu2 cable and does not windows detect the phone when you plug it in

yeah its a dku2 cable, it came with the phone. when i plug the phone in, a window comes up that says found new hardware, but then it tells me it cant install the new hardware

lobodog3 can you help me? do i have to change a setting on my phone to make the computer recognize it?

Just let windows look for the right drives .
I think i had to let it search for drivers five or more times.
It will work..... just a bit of time ,my computer is fast and it got it an just about 3 of 4 min's.

so you went through the hardware wizard 5 or more times? cause when i go through the hardware wizard it says, install software automatically, and then it says cannot install this hardware. so what do i do?
My antenna is smaller than yours
I suggest you download the nokia pc suite cleanup utility, found on their website. Uninstall the pc suite and run the cleanup utility. Then download and install the latest version of pc suite (I have 6.4). This includes the dku-2 cable drivers - no need for any separate installation.
After pc suite installation, plug in your phone and it will automatically show 5-6 times new hardware found and let it install the drivers automatically.
If you do not want to download the entire pc suite, try the cleanup utility and reinstall from the CD.
If you are still getting the cannot install hardware message, then either the usb ports on your computer are not set up properly or you are not installing with admin priveleges in xp.
