Need help!! ESN is not changing on my slider!!

Hi I want to change the ESN of my old slider se47 to my new one bought on ebay se44. And not call my service provider. I hook up the phone with the KWCESN it reads the phone. but give me an error 5. I also tried entering the SPC code but it dont work it keeps telling me error 5. Another forum member emailed me KESN but when I try to write the phone it tells me that the software is for SE47 and I have a SE44. Thanks for your help!!!!
