    Motorola V80 problems

I've got a Motorola V80 and it's about 5 months old. Suddenly the phone started to show an 'invalid battery' message on screen. It also showed a message 'insert SIM' when the SIM was already in the phone.

The phone started freezing and none of the keys would work. I would have to actually remove the battery to take the phone off.

Does this sould like a hardware or software problem? If it's software, can someone tell mw what to do?

I really need some help here. My email is kevinlsingh@hotmail.com

    Thanks everyone.

    Re: Motorola V80 problems

    Hey

I got a v80.. the day I got my v80 it turned off on me while i was using P2KMAN... I had to reflash it with the original firmware to get it to turn back on.. i fixed it and 3 days later while i was talking it did the same thing.. turned off.. flashed and again 3 days later..

I reflashed it the 3rd time.. now it stays on.. but I haven't really used it... I think it had to do with the amount of mins I used the phone for.. because there is exactly 20 mins of use.. so that would equal to 5 mins of use before it needs to be reflashed.. I don't know if its the flex or firmware.. because I did try a newer version of the firmware and no sucess... it could be the hardware.. if you have warranty.. I would send it in and have it checked out.. for me.. I have none.. so if anyway has a fix.. or knows where I can get the newest flex for the v80 please msg me!!

yeah the v80 has a lot of problems.. try starting p2kman.. without the phone plugged in and try pluggin it in to a different usb when p2kman starts up... see if that solves your problem

Mine seems to be OK, too...though sometimes it just restarts...no telling when it'll do that and it can happen at any time regardless of what I'm doing...that's the only gripe I have with it...

Mine connected to P2K without a prob...though, when I do have probs, I just start up MSS and wait for it to detect my v80, then I move onto P2K...that solves the prob for me, all the time...

Oh, on a totally different topic, what color does your PASSION (Fan Light) pulse with? Mine goes from red to purple and back to red...yours the same? I'm thinking I could have put in a v600's fanlight.pat file into mine by accident...hehehe...thanks!
