    I dont know enough about document roots or anything like that, but basically I need to make it look for the files here:
    http://www.miltonsoffice.com/mms/pics
    instead of here
    /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/ mms/pics

    Any ideas?
    I dont know how your site is setup.
    The document root is just the server path to your website's root folder. The document root should the same as: http://www.miltonsoffice.com

    So, /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/ should be the same thing as http://www.miltonsoffice.com
    Then, /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/mms should be the same thing as http://www.miltonsoffice.com/mms
    And, /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/mms/pics should be the same thing as http://www.miltonsoffice.com/mms/pics

    ... you know?
    Are you using htaccess to redirect or something?

    ------Again, Im not sure what the document root is

    So, /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/ should be the same thing as http://www.miltonsoffice.com

    ---------No, www.miltonsoffice.com corresponds to /home/e-smith/files/ibays/primary/html

    Then, /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/mms should be the same thing as http://www.miltonsoffice.com/mms

    ----------No, there is no directoy /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/mms

    www.miltonsoffice.com/mms IS THE SAME THING AS /home/e-smilth/files/ibays/mms/html

    And, /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/mms/pics should be the same thing as http://www.miltonsoffice.com/mms/pics

    -----Maybe, again not sure how it is achieving what I stated, but I am positive of the mappings I mentioned as far as what url equals what dir. Its not working cause its looking for a diectory (/home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/mms/pics) which doesnt exist. It should be looking to /home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/pics

    Is there a way to adjust this in the script?

    I do not know how.
    I do not understand the virtual mapping you have going on. It makes no sense to me.

    Since www.miltonsoffice.com corresponds to /home/e-smith/files/ibays/primary/html and www.miltonsoffice.com has an "mms" directory and a "pics" directory in the "mms" directory, then /home/e-smith/files/ibays/primary/html should also have an "mms" folder and a "pics" folder in that.
    The fact that you have it virtually mapped (or whatever), is a problem. Can you change it?

    Actually, I do know how you might be able fix this.
    In the index.php, about line 135 you see this:
    echo "\t\t<IMG SRC=\"phpThumb.php?src=$path_to_pics$pictime.jpg&w =$thumb_width\" border=\"0\"><br>$datestamp\n";
    Change it to this:
    echo "\t\t<IMG SRC=\"phpThumb.php?src=/$path_to_pics$pictime.jpg&w=$thumb_width\" border=\"0\"><br>$datestamp\n";
    And then on line 137 is this:
    echo "\t\t<a href=\"index.php?p=$p&pic=$pictime\">\n\t\t<IMG SRC=\"phpThumb.php?src=$path_to_pics$pictime.jpg&w =$thumb_width\" border=\"0\"><br>$datestamp</a>\n";
    Change to this:
    echo "\t\t<a href=\"index.php?p=$p&pic=$pictime\">\n\t\t<IMG SRC=\"phpThumb.php?src=/$path_to_pics$pictime.jpg&w=$thumb_width\" border=\"0\"><br>$datestamp</a>\n";

    And, in the phpThumb.config.php, use this:
    $PHPTHUMB_CONFIG['document_root'] = "/home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html";
    And, use the full server path for your "cache" directory in the phpThumb.config.php:
    $PHPTHUMB_CONFIG['cache_directory'] = '/home/e-smith/files/ibays/mms/html/cache/'; (or, whatever it is)

    EDIT: actually, don't bother saving the file from my site, just change the line to this instead:
    $fd = fopen("http://www.humpa.com/humpa_mms/test_humpa", "r");
    I tried this. The server took about 10 seconds to process the request for send.php then it finished with a white screen. Hitting the root of humpa_mms shows your picture. It looks like the same level of completion that the other pictures had so this would rule out my phone wouldn't it?

    However, I do have trouble emailing pictures with the V710. Almost all of my sends get to 91% and fail. I have had a few successful sends, but not many.

    The whole pic is not getting saved, and the Message Received is not being sent.
    That is weird.

    The "Message Received" message is sent right after the pic is saved/written to a file. The whole pic is not getting saved, and the script apparently ends or times out, since the "Message Received" does not happen.

    I'm stumped at the moment.
    Do you have any other issues with your server?

    It seems to work well. I am going to install php-gd when I get home. Maybe the fact that it can't call those routines is messing with its execution.

    What about a logging version of send.php that would make some sequential writes to a text file? That would allow the progress to be tracked.

    I'm wondering if this is a POST size issue.
    Can you put your send.php back the way it was?

    What happens when you send a video? How about when you Send as Message instead of Send to Pix Place?
    And, try a very small pic - see what that does.

    I will restore send.php this evening when I get home from work.

    I have not tried sending a video. You mean to the humpa server, right?

    If I try to send a picture in a message with my phone, I usually get a failure at about 91%.

    I will also try a small pic as you suggest.

    Thanks!

    I think you're on it. I switched my phone to 320x240 and it took four out of five. I think the server's on it's knees due to some sort of incompatibility with the incoming images.

    I put libgd on and the smaller images thumbnail just fine. The big ones from earlier grind and grind until they come up red X's (or in my case on OS X, blue question marks).

    I'm not a PHP guy and it's been years since I even messed with perl. Point my nose down the path and I'll see if I can get it going.

    What is the procedure for dumping unwanted images?

    I just went through and deleted all the older large images by hand and the server seems to have recovered. The NSLU2 is not a hoss when it comes to processor to it takes a bit of time to render the thumbnails for the first time.

    It is working though...

    Hey Humpa,

    Would it be hard to write a small code that'll allow me to show my latest phonecam images (and date of photo) on another one of my sites? Then of course be able to link to it by either clicking the picture or something else? Textamerica.com allows you to do this on their site, but I'd rather use the software you wrote on my server.

    Follow-up:

    Tried a 320x240 image with an audio attachment: Failed

    Tried another 640x480 image: Failed

    You want to try this for me?
    www.humpa.com/downloads/delete.zip
    Put the "delete" folder in your mms (or whatever you called it) directory
    There is a link in the delete folder for generating the username: password for the htpasswd file.

    Put a valid username: password pair in the htpasswd file, upload that delete folder, and point your browser to it.

    EDIT: there are some variables to set at the top of the delete.php!! You also need to use your correct server path to htpasswd in the htaccess file
